Failure at recovering his hammer has now resulted in a challenge from a mortal, set to put him in his rightful place, nonexistence. A furyan has stepped up! Not quite human, yet still a mortal, even with his increased strength, speed, and awareness, it will be the toughest of battles. The earth will quake, the skies will darken, all will flee in fear at the sight of the fuyran going blow to blow with the recently mortalized Thor.Goals:FitnessDeadlift: 1RM @ 475/485 STR +3 (opt. +1 of any stat pulled from another goal)- Easy enough. Didn't succeed at this last time, I want to this time. In a quest to hit 500lbs by the end of the year to beat Corey and BigM in our PvPvP, this one has to happen! If I succeed in getting 475 by the middle of this challenge, the number goes up to 485 and has to be done by the end of the challenge. If by mid challenge, I still fail, at 475 it stays until the end. Incentive to hit 485 will give me the option to pull a +1 attribute point from any other goal I have in this challenge.Slow Pull-ups/Chin-ups with Leg Raise @ top: 3/4 STR +2 STA +1- I'm on hold with my quest to hit 10 pull-ups for this challenge. Instead, I want to focus on slow motions and holds. The exact move is: start at a complete deadhang, and in a controlled slow motion, pull myself up until my chin is over the bar. Once there, hold the position until I have completed a full leg raise. At this point, I will hold my legs in that position while I slowly descend back down to a deadhang. This move will take 20+ seconds. Currently, I can do 1.5 pull-up versions and almost 3 chin-up versions. I felt the need to mix up my normal pull-up/chin-up exercises.Mobility: 3 MWODs per week DEX +3- Same as last, but with a bit more success. Succeed in making the pain cave my little bitch this time.DietLess Booze- Less booze? Easy enough, right? I didn't say no booze, so this should be a breeze. Well....wrong! I like my booze....a lot! I can't just have a glass of wine for dinner, I want the bottle. I can't just stop at 2 beers for dinner, I want 4+. Drinking is a relaxing time for me.....time to veer off course on this one. Just after typing that, I was called into a meeting, and without going into details, a certain individual has now set me off. I'm steaming and mad as hell right now. I'll come back and finish this post later, but tonight.....less booze my ass. Luckily, the challenge hasn't started yet. Bring on the mothaeffin' whiskey!!!...... <- OK, time to continue. Back from the weekend, many much booze was had and I'm back to a nice calm and collected self. Now, as for the booze portion of this challenge, I am giving myself the option to only drink 3 times a week, with an option to combine 2 into 1. More specifically, 2 of the times are allowed only with meals, and stops at either 1 glass of wine, 1 cocktail, or 2 beers. I can choose to combine these 2 times into 1 for either dinner with friends, a happy hour, or something similar. 1 time a week, I'm giving myself a chance to let loose. It is summer time and plenty of weekend activities will involve booze, so I will allow myself 1 of these a week. There is no carrying over to the next week. This is a use or lose it thing. This may still seem like a lot for some people, but for me, this is a drastic and much needed reduction in the amount of alcohol I've been consuming recently.LifePay off TV WIS +3- Another failed carryover from last challenge, but one that I should have a problem completing this time around. Again, it is a zero interest thing, and I've been taking my time paying it. Day 1 - DC to Huntsville, AL. Played with my nieces, visited with sister and her husband. Nice and relaxing after an 11 hour drive.Day 2 - Huntsville to D'Lo, MS (45 mins south of Jackson). Visited with parents and grandparents, had a home cooked meal and got to spend time with some old friends.Day 3 - Heading to Houston as I type this. Hear that Wicked Pixie?
