Way to go on the gains-all that calorie tracking is paying off! And on getting the house cleaned up-I need to start doing the same as well-maybe a goal for the next challenge (hopefully I'll have made a start by then, but yeah....). It's quite a satisfying feeling to walk through and see all the open space and not just heaps of clutter! :)

Nice stretching video too! All my squats and running have been causing some tightness in hips; I have been using various yoga poses to stretch them, but this looks more efficient-I'll have to give it a go today!

Love this! Although, you don't get the potential side produce of wool from a rabbit...

Dude that thing sheds enough that I probably could make a sweater if I had the skills. Or at least a pair of tiny gloves.

Good deeds = lots of feel good factor...

On the London trip on Saturday, my 5yr old son found a Samsung Ace mobile (cell) phone down the side of the train chair! I was going to hand it in to lost property, but decided that the owner would be unlikely to locate it depending on where & when he was travelling. So, after checking the contacts within, I sent a text to "Mum" explaining we'd found the phone & asking what they wanted to do. "Mum" text back later on and asked if we could post it on.

She confirmed today that they had received the phone, which belongs to her teenage son who was travelling on the train for work experience. Needless to say, he is very relieved, and his Mum asked me to also thank my son!

So, yeah, today was a really good day :D

Oh, and I've finished up on 3031 calories too!

Well, today got off to a not-so-great start - I managed to slip getting out of the shower, and face-planted into the floor. So now I look like a bad boxer!!

My head's still spinning a bit, but my boss has allowed me to work form home today. I'm hoping my headache eases in time for my workout tonight though.

Oh well! :black_eyed:

OUCH! So what's your cover story, because telling people that you just fell in the shower is a bit lame. How about you can between a 13yr old girl and the last Justin Bieber CD in the shop? Or that you just got the latest Norah Jones album and hurt yourself head banging (that one will be totally worth it for the confused looks alone)?

Yeah you need a good excuse. Walking into a door knob or falling down the stairs is a little lame too, so is falling down stairs made of doorknobs - although they might encourage you to report your OH ;) I like Kuiks' suggestions. You could also say you were testing weapons with Q and you were accidentally hit by a crash test dummy, Brad Roberts maybe?

Wow - you're all right; why is the truth sooo lame?! All the guys at work reckon it's spousal abuse & have advised me that when I'm next in trouble, I should try the "Not the face..." line. (bruising has come out more today - although it disturbingly looks like heavy pink eye shadow :()

I should have gone for some awesome mishap like you suggested, or that I fell from a Ninja Warrior course, cos I was only using 1 hand; or that I accidentally flexed one of my 'guns' into my face... :) Instead, the office may have a whip-round and buy me a bath-mat, like some kind of Help the Aged campaign - Oh well :sigh:

I didn't manage to workout last night due to my headache, but I've picked myself up tonight and managed to put a solid workout in. I'm still keeping just over 3000 calories, so my weekly average should be on par too.

Due to missing last night's workout, I'm going to be out on the bike tomorrow night, and I'll put in a Saturday workout to ensure I catch up, and after which, I'll assess my handstand push up progress.

@ Elefevers - Thanks! I was feeling rather wobbly all day Wednesday, but luckily I've felt fine since yesterday morning (ridiculing aside!)

I managed to et out on my bike tonight, and tracked 3.8m (6.1K) in 25m:26s (~9 mph). I wasn't going out to break any records, but I did push for the duration, and because it's been raining all day, I got quite muddy too - proper job! :)

Today I've reached my 3K calorie mark, with the help of ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶ lots of delicious slow roast pulled pork :D

Have a good weekend, whatever you folk get up to.

I've not dropped off the face of the planet, just off the forums (sorry!)

Here's a breakdown of my goals for this challenge:

Challenge Goals:

Diet

When I changed my life for the better in January, I was exercising lots, and eating healthy, but with ever shrinking portion sizes. As a consequence, my weight had dropped to 140 lbs (I'm 6 feet tall) and I had better muscle definition due to my lower body fat percentage, but looked skinny. When I read Steve's Superhero post, I looked at my diet and realised that I was way under with my calorie intake. Since then I have been trying to increase my daily calories to around 3000 in order to reach the ideal weight for my height, which is around 180 lbs (today, I'm 147.6 lb). Therefore, my diet based goal is to ensure I am reaching my calorie/protein targets daily, and that I track everything properly on-line, as I tend to fail at weekends at present. (N.B. I don't have any deadlines for my weight gain, or any weight-related goal for the end of the 6 weeks - it will happen in it's own time!!) - WIS+2/CON+1

Managed to stick to my calories on most days (didn't track on 3 days) my average daily calories for all tracked days is 3173.5 - I weighed in last night at 151.4 so I'm heading in the right direction. Here's a before & after chart of measurements:

Fitness

My 1st fitness goal is to get out on my mountain bike at least once a week, for at least half an hour (or 5 miles, depending on the route). I found through my last challenge that I was enjoying my cycling sessions, but that I was making them less of a priority than my weight training. I have got time to do both, and I am hoping to reap the benefits. - DEX+2/STA+1

This started well, for the first 3 weeks, but then priorities changed in favour of my life challenge of de-cluttering.

Result = 50% DEX+1/STA+0.5

My 2nd fitness challenge is to perform a hand-stand press-up. Currently, I can walk my feet up a wall into a handstand position (but probably at a 30 deg angle) and from there, I am able to unlock my elbows, lower myself about an inch max, before pushing back up to locked elbows. By the end of the challenge, I would love to be able to perform at least 2 HS press-ups using perfect form (to show that it's not a fluke!). I imagine I will still be using a wall, but will be more vertical. - STR+3/CHA+1/STA+1

I have surprised myself with this, as I wasn't expecting to get anywhere near (barely able to do handstands when starting the challenge). I am now able to hold a handstand for approx. 45 seconds, followed by 2 half HS push-ups. Nowhere near full range of motion, but I'm happy with the progress.

Result = 50% STR+1.5/CHA+0.5/STA+0.5

Life

[To] get rid of all my junk that I have been storing, on the belief that it really would be useful someday [...] In these 6 weeks, I shall attempt to go through all the rooms of the house, (and the out-house - eek) and sell, give away, or throw away anything that I don't need, or is of no significance any more. [...] in addition to just clearing out the house, I will be keeping on top of clearing the junk out of the garage too! - WIS+4

This is still very much a work in progress, both mentally & physically! I'm now much move capable of separating things that I need, from those that I won't miss - that's a massive milestone for me :)

I have completed several trips to the tip with a car full of stuff, and the house seems so much bigger! It's still a long way of being show-home, but it certainly feels like we're winning the battle! I've even been able to complete approx. 1/3 of the kitchen tiling (my previous challenge failed life goal) due to better prioritising of my time. (This is why my thread has been quiet for half the challenge too!) I'm happy that I have planted the roots of good habits, and I am looking forward to having a tidy house in the not too distant future. Progress so far:

-found a usable dining room

-kitchen tiling started

-bedrooms tidier

-garage junk emptying

Result = 75% WIS+3

I'm not going to be signing up for the next challenge, although I will still be exercising 2 - 3 times a week & eating MOAR to work towards a healthier me. I'll have my hands full completing the long suffering kitchen décor, redecorating my 5yr son's bedroom, and lots of general life-tidying. I'll try and check in now and again, and I'll no-doubt join a challenge again later on (at some point).

I wish to thank everyone for all support and encouragement received through the challenge - Congratulations to you all for your achievements, and I wish you all good luck for future levelling up.

Well done, Rich. I am thrilled to hear about the decluttering :applouse: Also all the other stuff doesn't look too bad. Your stats are looking good.

I will certainly miss you this challenge, but you will levelling up your life goals so that's worth it :)
