I have issues about learning lmao. Heh. Finding out the other day that my bar was 15 pounds less put me into a lifting funk, but I realized that I was going to have to learn sometime.. better now than when I'm trying to show my abilities! I have my days, but overall I've learned that even if I feel like crap. I've just learned through my early-life independence that no one can pull you through, but you. So here I am haha. I had it a little rougher growing up so I take each day renewed.. Life isn't perfect, but it could be a lot worse. I remember that all the time. Got a cat scan but no fracture so that's good. Just a very severe case of whiplash of the neck/upper back. Just focusing on recovering right now. Long story short- was on the highway, lady infront of me hit the graded road (roadwork) and slammed on her breaks. A very inconvenient glitch considering I love waking up to see someone has left me something or posted in a subscribed thread! Just a general update. Goodwince, I am doing great considering the circumstances. I don't know what happened but somewhere in the last few days I switched back to the old me that I loved. Even though I am still recovering I am off the painkillers thank lordy cause they made me sick. I went for a light run/walk this morning and it felt awesome. Stopped and pet some horses just cause I was in no hurry. I don't know if I said this but I got a kitten!! He's absolutely adorable and everything that a kitten should be. During the nights he sleeps right next to me quiet as can be! He does have ringworm (they found him abandoned in a trash pile, so no surprise), so I'm giving him 2x/week baths of this stinky sulfur stuff. Anyways yep that's been my life lately. Trying to get him to use the litter box! ugh! I am on day 2 of caffeine detox and MAN does it SUCK. Worse than I've had it before because I've gone from drinking 2-8 espresso shots plus some coffee per day (thanks to working at the coffee shop) to nothing. I am really excited about that. Also I am in the process of converting back to my paleo/wholefood ways and am doing relatively well. I am no longer doing IF/leangains because it screws with my head, but I am not opposed to fasting if need be and will probably do it regularly. I am going to head to the grocery store and pick up lots of chicken and veggies and stuff so I can start cooking for myself and bringing lunches again, even though I have access to endless bagels and sandwiches at work. But I shouldn't fall back on this because I'm getting fat and lazy! I have today off so I've been trying to figure out crap with my car and what to do about it. The insurance agency called me today and said they haven't towed my car yet, even though a week ago they said they were going to tow it that day. SO that means it hasn't been appraised yet which means they still don't know if its totaled. Chances are it is totaled because the frame is bent and the engine is destroyed. So I've been looking at hybrids and G35's and Passats. I don't want to keep looking and make offers and such because I don't know if its actually totaled or not yet! Its a vicious circle and we're probably going to spend lots on a rental. I bought king-size candy bars to be that-house on Halloween to hand out to the kids . Let's see, been working alot, working funerals again (yay!) and have a training meeting tomorrow night so no work all day which means if I'm up to it I'm going to go to the gym and have a light front-squat session. Figures that's the best to do when I have upper back/neck issues on and off still. Anyways. That's it for now! Off to buy some new jeans (ugh, mine are ripping in the inner thigh due to wear and tear and my musclessss (Arnold voice)) and get some more insurance stuff squared away. I've never taken a painkiller, but I imagine they suck!! I had friend who took them recreationally in high school and it looked pretty terrible.. Wow. llsoszynski@gmail.com Posted October 24, 2012 Author Report Share Posted October 24, 2012 iiiii was cheapstake when getting insurance so I opted out of the rental car. it wasnt necessary and now I am regretting it. thankfully my insurance agency offers discounts so I get them for cheap but cheap is still ugh. good on you for never taking a painkiller, thats pretty impressive. i had them for my wisdom teeth coming out and i was on meds for the lyme/mono that absolutely made me sick too. i hate taking medication and I'm so glad I don't need the painkillers anymore! I really hope the kids will love me this year I haven't been home for the last 2 halloweens so i don't know how many trick-or-treaters we'll have this year but I'm hoping word will get around that I'm giving out king sized and more people will stop by I wanna be that house!! (which unfortunately means, yes, i have no life and no party to go to )thanks for recognizing my old self!! lordy how i missed it. THANKS KITTYYYY. Naht. Well I cleaned my room real good this morning and hopefully the open windows will help the kitten stench get out (ugh). Today will mark day 5 of paleo, coffee-free, working out.. um that might be it. Well, I was going to do sprints this morning but talked with the hubby on skype instead (first time in a week!). It was bitter sweet cause after he told me about his week he said he was going to bed and we barely talked about anything else. Even though I begged he stay up a little longer and talk.. oh well. Other than that, working at a different coffee shop today, again.. meeting new people.. again.. learning the layout all over again. Ugh. So tiring. Then tomorrow and Sunday at the busiest store (best tips, but lordy you want to shoot yourself the whole time). I need the money though. No new news on the car. Hopefully today we'll figure out if it's totaled legit or not and be able to look into new cars. Applying for an auto loan soon just to have on hand in the mean time. That's enough ramble for now. Hurricanes generally don't reach us.. but i guess this one is like a noreaster (sp?) within a hurricane during a fullmoon so its supposed to be extra bad lol. tomorrow will be day 2 of everything being closed and no funerals so no work for me! today was a lazy day of hanging out while it poured out. gym was closed cause the dang storm so couldnt workout. i did go to the doctor and get some roundworm cream stuff so thats good. ALSO! talked to my insurance agency and found out they are paying me alotttttt more money than we thought for the caddy! so payments have been taken care of and the extra cash will go to a down payment. also got a loan approved through our bank so all we need now is the new car! too bad you can't really car shop in a hurricane. today i experimented with cabbage and chicken in the oven. i broiled it for about an hour with carrots, bacon, onions and olive oil and lordy was it yummy. got leftovers for tomorrow too today marks one week of paleo eating! and although i may not be down to controlling my eating erges, atleast i'm down to eating good food while i binge. gahh. haha. hope the gym is open tomorrow!
