EmCee's KISS Challenge.

So... the last challenge did not go particularly well for me. I struggled with all of my goals - especially the beast that is Whole30. This time around, I am trying to keep it simple. I became so engrossed in Whole30 that I actually let other things slack... which, that defeats the whole "leveling up your life" thang. So - KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID I didn't lose 80 lbs doing nothing! I know how to eat well and I know what I need to do physically. SO!

1) Join Crossfit and attend 5x a week.

2) Lower my body fat percentage by 3-5%.

3) Run outside 3x a week - at least one endurance run and one session of stadiums or sprints. I'll mix it up with the third run.

Level up my life:

1) Burn a bridge that should've been burnt years ago. No details but it's something I struggle with daily. A relationship I can't seem to bear to lose despite the fact that the negatives outweigh the positives.

Bonus "Level up my life" goal:

My company is raising money for the "Give Thanks. Walk." for St. Jude in November. Our Culture of Caring ethos is what separated them from the pack and had me so interested in working for them. My heart is typically with our Make A Wish campaign (a very special little boy I know is a Wish Kid) but St. Jude does great work! I will commit to spending at least 30 minutes a day doing SOMETHING to raise funds - composing e-mails, reading about best practices, sending thank you's to those that do donate, etc.

That being said... if anyone wants to donate a couple of bucks... :P No, but seriously. If you would like to donate to my campaign, inbox me and I'll pass along my fundraising link :)

Letting go is the hardest asana.

I love the simplicity of your goals. They're beautiful. :)

And on the level up your life one -- I totally hear you on how hard it can be to burn those bridges sometimes, but it's WORTH IT. Sending lots of support your way!

I have done a lot of tough shit in my life - this will probably be the hardest! Thanks for the support :)

KISS, gotta love it! Good luck. If you need some matches for that bridge just shout :)

It will probably take an explosion to get this bridge down... but I'll shout - I'll need a match to light the dynamite :)

Booyah Crossfit! AWESOME! So excited for you!

/me fist bumps emcee and passes her the puke bucket. ;)

I have my demo on Tuesday and then I start 101's... Eeek! *fist bumps*

:D nice and clean. <3

I have lit the match and set fire to the bridge... the tough part is ahead - will I let it burn?

PS) I haven't cried this much since I left my husband.

This is so tough. You know in the long run you'll be better for it, but that doesn't make the right-now any less painful. We'll all be right here sitting with you through it. I'll pop the kettle on.

I'm glad you're back. You're too amazing to disappear.

I'm glad I'm back, too.

And I thought Whole30 sucked :)

This is now on a sticky note on my bathroom mirror.
That's actually a good idea. I typically write motivational things on my bathroom mirror and my vanity mirror in dry-erase marker. This is going up today.

Guys, if you haven't already, take a minute to look up ze frank invocation for beginnings on youtube. I'll openly admit that I stole the concept from him. The message is strong, like my FILDI.

Life is full of hard times and good times. Learn from everything you can.

OMG - I never thought of of that! AWESOME idea. Great quote. It is SO GOOD to have you back.

(I have a very hard time with strict nutritional plans as well.)

The marker on the mirror thing has helped me in so many ways - from inspirational quotes and reminders to keeping track of my weight (when I first started, I would write my weight on the mirror weekly so I could see how far I'd come from the beginning, hoping it would keep me from giving up).

I'm glad I'm not the only one! That was one of the worst decisions I think I've ever made for myself. I was so not prepared for how difficult it would actually be and, beyond that, I think super strict food plans screw with my brain. I was seriously so obsessed over it. But! That is over and I'm ready to bring it this challenge :)

Glad to see you :)

I saw! Good luck to you too! Let me know how you like it... I'm totally nervous!

Don't be nervous!

Show up, take names, kick ass. Be yourself. Have fun. Do some work. Run like hell. Well, run like zombies are at your heels. Lift weights like someone it was your sole intent to be the most fucking awesome person on the planet who ever grabbed a barbell!
