one thing that worries me -- if you are just starting crossfit, 5x per week is a little much. i usually advise my athletes to start at 3x, then work up to 4x, etc. just make sure you listen to your body!

I probably should've clarified - I would like to be able to do 5x a week by the end of the challenge!

Letting go is the hardest asana.

Haha! Thanks! I made it through the actual demo without puking but I did puke, out of sheer nerves, on the drive there. I had to pull over! :(

As for the demo, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be. I guess they don't want to scare people away!

500 M row for time and then 3RFT of 3 WBS, 6 Burpees, 9 air squats. My time, from the minute I did the first row to the last air squat was 5:46.

Letting go is the hardest asana.

That actually sounds like a decent time for your first time. It sounds like you are going to crush CrossFit.

Good luck! I joined CrossFit in March and love it!!!! Even though i'm always sore, but it's a good sore :-)

On the bridge thing- I know what you are going through. I had to burn a bridge when I was 17- not an easy bridge to burn as it was my psychotic abusive alcoholic mother. but it made me stronger and was able to survive things later in life I would have never had the strenghth for. Good luck and don't wait too long. the sooner you do it, the better off you will be, but that's an assumption since i'm not familiar with your situtation. but purge the negative!
