Well, since I'm already the most fucking awesome person on the planet.... all I gotta do is add in the barbell! :)

I probably should've clarified - I would like to be able to do 5x a week by the end of the challenge!

That should be do-able. Just listen to your body, and eat a sweet potato or other glucose containing thing after each wod and you should be fine!

Haha! Thanks! I made it through the actual demo without puking but I did puke, out of sheer nerves, on the drive there. I had to pull over! :(

As for the demo, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be. I guess they don't want to scare people away!

500 M row for time and then 3RFT of 3 WBS, 6 Burpees, 9 air squats. My time, from the minute I did the first row to the last air squat was 5:46.

Silly silly. Aren't you supposed to puke *after* the wod? :P

Joking aside, those are some badass times. Good job in killing the workout! :)

That actually sounds like a decent time for your first time. It sounds like you are going to crush CrossFit.

Looks like you're getting ready to crush it, the hardest part about Crossfit is showing up, once you're there, your coaches and fellow crossfitters will get you through the workout.

It seems like I have a great bunch of people there. Thankfully, I know a couple of people that already go to that box so that has helped me not feel awkward :)

Great job on your first WOD!! I did my first WOD of the challenge of the day and it kicked my arse!

I will attend the 5A classes or 6:30A. I have some flexibility in my schedule but I think it's best to attend the same class time? I could be wrong and maybe it's better to mix it up. We'll see how it goes! For now, that's my plan!

Had my first 101 this morning :) I feel so EMPOWERED learning all of these things that I was too afraid or nervous to try previously! Even just a simple back squat was something I was worried about before and now I feel really confident about them and about all the things that are going to come!

Today's WOD:

400 M Run Cash-in

3 Burpees

9 Box Jumps

12 KB Swings

AMRAP in 10

I did 6 full rounds - barely knocked out the last KB swing for the full 6th round!

I am going to run tonight - I haven't decided sprints/stadiums or endurance... figure I'll see how I feel when I get out of work!

I've written my weekly goals and a short motto on my bathroom mirror (my side of it anyway). Felt a little rebellious, but it sure helps keep my goals literally in front of me every day. Thanks for the idea!!

It is amazing! I feel so great about joining and I feel like it's already a really good fit for me - I am a sponge for this kind of stuff when I'm in a smart environment so yay! Also! Super glad to see you took the plunge and graffiti'd your mirror - it really is one of my favorite ways to keep myself motivated and sometimes even grounded!

Anyways. Now that I have ten minutes (or less) to actually sit for a minute, I thought I would update you guys on my other goals!

Obviously, I've started Crossfit. I will get through my 101's by Saturday and be ready to go on Monday - The plan right now is to go every other day, but DEFINITELY go on Tuesdays and Thursdays which are always strength days at my box. I'm hoping to be going 5x a week by the end of the challenge. I would like to go on Saturdays for the team WOD but Saturdays are always tough for me. I am really really loving it thus far and feel fantastic about joining!

Body fat has been measured and I won't measure again until the end of the challenge.

Running! I have just been running short distances during the past two mini-WODs. Today I think I am going to go for a nice long run - surprisingly our weather has been beautiful.

Bridge Burning: Whew... this was a toughie. It hurt to end this friendship but I know it was for the best (and some of you who were in chat when I was ranting also know this!). While this person did bring some positives to my life, the negative that he created for me was almost unbearable sometimes. I feel so much lighter without this friendship and this person bearing down on my shoulders.

St. Jude: Yikes. This has been really hard. I am finding it difficult to find extra minutes in my day to just sit down and write an e-mail to a friend about it. Other than harassing my boyfriend and father about making a donation, I haven't moved very far on this goal. But! I will work on it.

Side note: I had a job interview on Monday and have a second interview next Monday (Oct. 1). Wish me luck!

I feel like a BEAST!

Tomorrow is my LAST 101! I can't wait for Monday for my real real first WOD!

So far I have done back/front squat, dead lift, power clean, snatch. The cleans are killer and I can't get the form down just yet so I've been staying a few minutes later to do a little extra and work on them a little. I know part of my problem is that I think way too much and then hesitate. My other problem is when there are a lot of people watching me, I do worse. When I'm able to get in my own little space and no one is paying attention, my form is a lot better. Same with box jumps - I'm afraid I'm going to totally eat shit and everyone will be looking so I hesitate, which makes me eat shit anyways.

*sighs*

Today the WOD was 500M Row Cash in, 5RFT 10 Lunges followed by 5 hand-release pushups and a 400 m run cash out. I completed it in 7:46. Not to brag or anything :tickled_pink: but the guy doing the WOD with me finished at 10:09. I thought for sure I was going to get my ass kicked because he finished his 500m row so quickly.

Off for a run soon - last night I just did a quick two miles. Today I'm going to see how far I can go :)

I did my last 101 today! Whoo! I did multiple WODs today so here is what I did:

Individual WOD

AMRAP in 12 minutes

1 pullup (I substituted ring rows)

1 box jump

1 WBS

2 ring rows

2 box jumps

2 WBS

3 ring rows

3 box jumps

3 WB

... and so on. I did 10 rounds in 12 minutes. The WBS shots really killed me because I kept having to repeat reps because, even though I was throwing high enough, they weren't hitting the wall. SUCKED.

Then I cam back for the TEAM WOD.

3 RFT

Prowler Push (50M)

Team Run (400M) with 20# med ball

Pullups (100 TOTAL)

Wall sits

Each team member had to complete the prowler push. Once each member was done, we did a 400M team run with a 20# med ball - the ball could never touch the floor or there was a 10 burpee penalty. We traded the ball constantly throughout the run and the wallsits. Once the run was completed, one team member did as many pullups as they could while the rest of the team did wallsits and then we switched out. My team did three round in 26:58... we came in second, missed first by about 3 pullups/20 seconds.
