*gasp!* Yet another newbie

Recommended Posts

Well hello, there! I'm sneakyDragon. You can call me sneaky or sneaks. I am a twenty-three year old licensed massage therapist in the wonderful state of Louisiana. I also happen to be tremendously out of shape/overweight. I haven't taken my measurements yet, but my latest weighing was 260lbs.

Several things have made me want to get into better shape; I want to fit my old clothes that I still love, I hate feeling like shit when I'm trying to find new clothes, and I miss being able to dance. No fancy dancing, though.

The final straw was this past weekend, when I was at the Texas Renaissance Festival. I saw this awesome ride-thing which was basically a trampoline that bounced you higher than normal. The cost wasn't outrageous and it looked like fun! Then, I saw the weight limit- 200lbs... *headdesk*

So, I talked to a friend of mine (who also helped me get to TRF), and she suggested I join up here. She's jtggodqos on here.

I've already started and have a few goals. I feel fantastic so far, just a little sore. But it's a good soreness. ^.^

IN ANY CASE! I look forward to meeting some cool people here. :D

There is never a sudden revelation, a complete and tidy explanation for why it happened, or why it ends, or why or who you are. You want one and I want one, but there isn't one. It comes in bits and pieces, and you stitch them together wherever they fit, and when you are done you hold yourself up, and still there are holes and you are a rag doll, invented, imperfect. And yet you are all that you have, so you must be enough. There is no other way.

Walk at least three miles twice a week (and I'll eventually increase that), get a bike and RIDE IT, and drink less sugary drinks. ^.^

how goes it on all fronts? are you walking twice for sure? have you been tracking your sugary drinks? and have you created a savings jar for the bike yet?
