bombshell
alright, so had a pretty good week all-in-all. today was my day to regroup from a weekend of fun and (derby) games and i was able to catch up on my cleaning goal. here's my summary of progress for this week:BBW workouts: 2interval workouts: 3days 100% paleo: 5rooms cleaned: 3so i have to say, pretty dang good for the first week of my first challenge. i had planned earlier in the week to get another BBW workout in today, but i'm so effing sore from the derby scrimmage yesterday (not to mention lack of sleep/hungover due to afterparty shenanigans) that i realized it wouldn't do my body any good. i'll post a weight update tomorrow, beginning of new week. checked it a few times this week and liked what i saw, hopefully the progress survived the weekend! i'm loving having these goals to keep me in track, plus the community bombshelllevel 3amazon adventurerSTR 8.5|DEX 2.75|STA 7.25|CON 8|WIS 9.25|CHA 3queen of the rink Link to comment

Blaidd
I love how you have set out your measurables. I watched a roller derby game when i was in Netherlands, it seems like so much fun. Alas no such thing exists in South Africa but i play action cricket and netball when i have an opportunity. Have a good week. bombshell
well, i have to say i'm pretty freaking disappointed. i weighed myself on saturday and i was 288.5(!)...this morning i was 297.8. what the fuuuuuuuudge? (except i didn't say "fudge")so it's 2lb i guess. i got so excited for that weight on saturday, i guess that'll teach me to do multiple weigh-ins. but, 2 pounds is 2 pounds, at least it's a loss and not a gain. today starts a new week of opportunity for awesome. bombshelllevel 3amazon adventurerSTR 8.5|DEX 2.75|STA 7.25|CON 8|WIS 9.25|CHA 3queen of the rink Link to comment
Blaidd
You should definitely not weigh in that often and also you should rather measure your weightloss in inches rather. Everywhere you look people say muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are gaining muscle and losing fat, you'd have to lose about 3x more fat than you've gained in muscle (i think that's the number). I'm sure if you weighed in once a week or even once a month you might see a difference that wouldn't have you feeling a little disappointed. Hows the workout going? bombshell
well, i ended up not working out today because i feel like crap physically; i think it's a combo of hormones and recovery from the weekend but i just don't have it in me. did manage to keep my diet clean but probably a little too heavy on the carbs. i am gonna re-measure myself at the end of the challenge, but i have a loooot of fat to lose so i figured a weekly weigh-in would be good to track that. i dunno. not feeling as discouraged about the weight as i was this morning but definitely not at the top of my game right now. i tend to get a little obsessive about the scale, i have to force myself to stay away from it i think.thanks for your support, angelblaidd bombshelllevel 3amazon adventurerSTR 8.5|DEX 2.75|STA 7.25|CON 8|WIS 9.25|CHA 3queen of the rink Link to comment
Hiraedd
Hey bombshell -- you had a great week, don't let the scale spoil it for you! Weight goes up and down without notice. Seriously, either you weigh everyday at the same time and track the average of the weights (what I do) or you weigh very infrequently...I often have a day to day swing of about 6 pounds, which is fine, because my weight isn't actually my value, and it's not yours either. The scale can't tell you if you're doing a good job or not....it can only tell you how much mass you have at a given time. Take a deep breath and just keep going. You can do this -- you're doing awesome. Keep up the good work! Hiraedd the Twice Risen: Hamadryad; Pilgrim battle log Link to comment
bombshell
well, this week really did me in. between having several days off, the holiday, and not feeling well on top of it i kinda tanked in the goals department. except for cleaning, i totally rocked that one! see for yourself:BBW workouts: 1interval workouts: 0100% paleo days: 2rooms cleaned: 5so i'll weigh tomorrow and hope that it's not too terrible. felt so gooood to eat right today, although i can tell my digestion will need a few more days to recover. gonna work on really getting in the workouts this week, my score with that is pretty low so far. bombshelllevel 3amazon adventurerSTR 8.5|DEX 2.75|STA 7.25|CON 8|WIS 9.25|CHA 3queen of the rink Link to comment
Hiraedd
Hey, you got in a workout, you ate paleo two days, and cleaned 5 rooms -- that's pretty darn good, actually! Blaidd
Keep at it, hun. You'll figure out the routine and before long, you'll smash it all over the place. I'd say for a beginner primal - 2/7 days isn't bad! Good luck with week 3. bombshell
2 workouts and 2 days clean eating down so far this week.having difficulty with abdominal pain...i think it's gallbladder issues based on information from "doctors" here on the interwebs...seems gallbladder/gallstone problems can flare up after a switch to a high fat/high protein diet. urgh. never had this before, and it hurrrts. got some herbal supplements today from my trusted health food store, hopefully will help. might have to go see a real doc if'n it doesn't settle down. on the plus side, though, is that the pain is not constant and so far hasn't interfered with workouts. bombshelllevel 3amazon adventurerSTR 8.5|DEX 2.75|STA 7.25|CON 8|WIS 9.25|CHA 3queen of the rink Link to comment
