Hey all, I have been kind of wingin a Paleo diet since around turkey day. Trying to do the prepping thing. I make a big thing of chicken or steak Sunday night but when I portion it out it's like two days of food:( has anyone tried a Paleo version of hummus? I read somewhere they used eggplant instead of chickpeas.

I know what you mean! When I did my first W30 I was so worried because I knew I was eating too much fruit. Its hard not to when you're on the go all the time. I often used fruit to keep myself from cheating with other things, so I figured even though it wasn't ideal, the fruit was still a good compromise. There are some other things you can eat if you are having a really bad craving, including these http://www.thewannabechef.net/2011/12/02/paleo-mug-cakes/ mug cakes. If you omit the sweetener they are even technically whole30 approved. There has been some debate about these kinds of treats though, because while they are clean, some people think they may perpetuate cravings. So that is something that you will have to judge for yourself. I had a couple of them on my last whole30 and I felt like I was being a hardcore cheater. lol.

The other thing I like to eat when I am having bad cravings is canned (unsweetened, of course :) ) pumpkin with coconut milk, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. and sometimes with a few crushed almonds or a small sweet potato baked with olive oil, a little salt and a LOT of cinnamon

OHHH MY GOODNESS! Those look amazing!! Cannot wait to try them. I've been having these amazing blueberry banana pancakes that I found here (http://undressedskeleton.tumblr.com/post/38657925508) and they are the most amazing pancake Ive ever tried, so much better than traditional ones! And healthy :D but in moderation as they are definitely sweet haha, great for a sunday brekky! :) Im going to try day on, day off for fruit so I balance out a bit better.

I'm guessing some of you guys are in colder weather than we have down here.  This is my favorite soup recipe.  It's very easy if you have an immersion blender.

Roasted Carrot Soup

And this is great too thanks! I can't wait to try it. I tried making my own pumpkin soup the other day. I just made it up as I went so I can't give you guys a recipe but it didnt turn out too bad :) And think, for the cold weather I'm going to try this no-oatmeal http://delishix.com/noatmeal-no-oatmeal-recipe/ Minus the honey of course. Hope you guys are killing it!!

Guys how are you going? Hopefully well. Any suggestions for interesting ways to cook fish and chicken? Im getting a bit bored at the moment. I must say though, food in general tastes so much better when I dont eat sugar :D Any other benefits you guys have found?

I've been really well, minus a unavoidable slip and a planned weekend off. I don't know many ways to cook fish or chicken off the top of my head, but if I come across something, I'll drop it your way.

Also, don't forget, we moved to the foll, owing link so we could stay up with the challenge:

Hi guys. Just found this thread and was wondering if I could join. I've been on Paleo for a while and will occasionally slip.

I think I need to switch it up besides using the same old recipes. Help :(
