amandolin
Checking in, I've been essentially "off" since Monday with a horrendous bout of the flu, during which I sat on the couch with kleenex watching hgtv and eating things I shouldn't. weyrcat
SO. Somehow I didn't actually subscribe to THIS thread, and didn't notice it had been moving. OR that we kidnapped Superman. Now I know, and the world is more awesome for it. Got some hobby time in this past week that I noted in my thread: reading, audioreading, opera. Next week I have scheduled another opera (live this time, WEE), and possibly the Japanese Garden and culture center. This week? O_O I'll figure it out. If I have time, probably blither the hobby time away slipping in an epi or two of Blackpool. Now, I've posted, caught up on everyone, realized this was here, and I'm rather proud of myself. I must abed and find strength for another day. Zzzzzzzz WeyrCat Level 7, 2. Neutral Gallifreyan Ranger - Sub-Class Druid.STR: 2 DEX: 2 STA: 4 CON: 4 WIS: 4 CHA: 4 Challenge: 7. Rerolling! Run. Eirlys
Hey everyone! Hope you're all fine! And yay weyrcat for finding this thread. It feels a little under-tended so far this challenge, I hope that just means everyone's so busy getting on with ALL THE THINGS that they don't have time to update, lol And weyrcat, sounds like you had a cool last week, and some fun times to look forward to. weyrcat
You guys are so motivating! After reading your posts and this thread I just want to jump up and get stuff done! Too bad my getting stuff done involves being bent over the computer. Oh well! My hobby time this week has been pretty strictly Torchwood. Mainly because that's what I'm able to sneak in while on the treadmill. Still working on getting ahead so I can take a week off at the end of this month for vacation. Currently I'm 2 days ahead, but I need to bring that up by 4-6 to really feel comfortable. Luckily most of my online classes have posted all the work ahead of time. I have frozen chili mix for the husband so he won't starve while I'm gone. I'll just pop it in the crock the day I leave and he'll have a whole week of dinner's when he gets home. Won't do any good if he doesn't remember to eat. Perhaps I should set up a daily alarm for the mathematician... Ah well! I'm pushing the Japanese gardens back until I'm actually ahead for vacation. Still going to my opera this sunday though. WEE! WeyrCat Level 7, 2. Neutral Gallifreyan Ranger - Sub-Class Druid.STR: 2 DEX: 2 STA: 4 CON: 4 WIS: 4 CHA: 4 Challenge: 7. Rerolling! Run. Eirlys
I guess the thing with us in this group is that we're doing so many things we don't check in here so much Hope weyrcat you enjoyed your opera & that amandolin you're rocking in your new job Looks like my new 'thing' next week will be quite a bit of socialising - how strange! weyrcat
Socializing? EEK! Just Kidding. I wish I could have done more of it.I technically don't have time to make THIS post too; but thank you so much for checking in on me you guys! It gives me warm fuzzies. As I stated in my post, I had exams etc, and still have, one for sure tomorrow, and I think the other will be released either tomorrow or the next day; the teacher's syllabus has been unreliable. I'm overall mostly pleased with my challenge, though I fell off the wagon today with the onset of "Coldageddon 2013" here at the Weyrcat house. No water heater and it "feels" like 50 degrees outside? I think I was hibernating even with my eyes open. Cold. Grungy. Very not happy. We've gone to a friend's to hot-shower and borrowed a space heater. It's a little more tolerable. So tired though. Harsh weekend after a long week. Between Challenge goals are to continue the goals I had open (Fitx3, H2Ox8, Sleepx8) but replacing Hobby Time (which I excelled in, of course) with Minimize again. Looks like we're moving very soon. The water heater is one giant straw to this very chilly camel. Moving gives me the motivation to pack less things. I hope to also use this next week to catch up on the Fanatic threads; though still my schoolwork must come first. Had another "due while I'm gone" project sprung on me, much to my chagrin. DO ALL THE SCHOOLWORK! Mental hugs. Interested in catching up on the threads. You guys are always so motivating! I'm off to snuggle in and thaw some more. WeyrCat Level 7, 2.
