Sito
How goes it Rangers, I just joined the ranks quite recently and am proud to say I'm a ranger. I'll be taking part in this 6 week challenge and will do my best to meet my goals and expectations. Speaking of which.... Dietary:I'm currently trying to gain some mass that I can later turn into muscle. This has been extremely hard for me to do in the past due to my metabolism. So for this I'm setting a calorie goal for each day, I'll be shooting for 3,000 calories a day while avoiding unhealthy shortcuts for the most part. I'll be recording my results daily via http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/sitosama and will post my weekly weight on this thread. My GOAL is to obtain at least 5lbs by the end of this Challenge. (+2 Con, +1 Wis) Fitness:Next on the list is something I continue to slack on. Currently I attempt to go to the gym after work on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday and Thursday I go home and perform "Ab Ripper X". Problem? Well things don't always go as planned, days get skipped, and smiley faces get turned upside down GOAL here is to perform weekly workout sessions flawlessly (unless zombies attack...I'll be working cardio then) (+2 Str, +1 Con) Speaking of cardio! Mines is the worst, I haven't ran, jogged, or even moved at a slightly faster pace ANYWHERE in months. The moment I found myself out of breath from just walking up the stairs is when I realized.....I need to start jogging. At least once a week, my GOAL will be to start jogging until I can go without stopping for 15 minutes straight. (+2 Sta, +1 Dex) Level up Your Life:So I'm the biggest procrastinator that I know of...literally. I honestly don't know anybody that procrastinates more than I. My days consist of waking up, going to work, gym, coming home, playing video games, and passing out. Somewhere in between I tell myself I need to do certain things but SOOON as I get home and turn on my computer....whelp all that just goes out the window. I turn on LoL (League of Legends) and everything else ceases to exist. Because of this....my GOAL is to become a Productivity Ninja and list 3 things EVERY DAY that need to get done. No more, no less. I will mark these things on a daily basis, try my best to complete them and record my progress. tenaciousglee
Good luck, Sito! It looks like we have some similar goals. I'm looking to add some bulk, too and am shooting for 3000 cal/day on MFP. I also attempted the productivity ninja routine in my last challenge with moderate success. I just joined the Dunedain Accountabilibuddy group, too, so I'll keep an eye on your progress! Sito
I, too, am a maaaaad procrastinator. How's it going for you so far? Yesterday actually went pretty smooth. For the first time in a LONG time I went home, put on some music...and just did what I had to do without getting side tracked. Good luck, Sito! It looks like we have some similar goals. I'm looking to add some bulk, too and am shooting for 3000 cal/day on MFP. I also attempted the productivity ninja routine in my last challenge with moderate success. I think the hardest thing for me so far has been trying to reach that 3000 cal/day without giving into fast food. Just yesterday I hit that mark for the first time since I've been on MFP so things are looking pretty good right now. Just yesterday I hit that mark for the first time since I've been on MFP so things are looking pretty good right now. I just checked out your MFP page. You're on the right track with milk and protein powder. I've been doing 2 cups of whole milk and 2 scoops of protein powder every morning for breakfast and I made a batch of these Breakfast Oatmeal Bars on Sunday night and have had one each morning. 1/16th of a pan is almost 300 calories! Even more if you put some peanut butter on them. I've been hitting 1,000 calories by breakfast! EDIT: here's my MFP diary if you're interested: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/glwahoo I'm going to weigh-in tomorrow to see how I've progressed so far and see if I need to bump the daily intake over 3,000 calories. Mother of god.... Those breakfast Oatmeal bars look friggin delicious, if I can just get off my procrastinating butt to get those ingrediants and actually make it, I'll be good. Love the cardio goal! I feel procrastination has to be the worst of all since it effects everything else. Just yesterday I had abunch of errands to take care of and I couldn't help but think....I could just do these another day. Luckily I just bit the bullet, went out, got things done and even came home to do my ab workout (which is the one major workout I've been skipping before this challenge). Get off your butt and get the ingredients! I was lucky because the only thing I didn't have was dried cranberries (subbed for raisins), so I picked them up on my lunch break and made a pan in under an hour. I'm no baker, but I was able to dump all the ingredients in a bowl, stir, and bake. I'm getting ready to make another batch and add chopped pecans or walnuts. Good fats and protein! Sito
After a week of absence...I am back! Just came back from Texas (watched my brother graduate from basic training in the AF) and am ready to get back into it. During my vacation I kind of pushed the whole 3 things a day to the side since I was stuck in a motel most of the time. I did continue to count my calories which worked for the majority of the time spent there. As for working out....I lugged around suitcases to and from the airport...that's about it . Well now that I'm back I'll be jumping right back in, can't let this small setback bring me down. Sito, Level 1 Elf Ranger STR 3|DEX 4|STA 1|CON 3|WIS 2|CHA 2 "6 Week Challenge" Link to comment
Sito
Been awhile since my last post and I apologize. Things seem to be going well with meeting my caloric goals day by day and I've already increased my weight to 156 lbs. As for being a productivity ninja well...my productivity has gone down ever since I got back from vacation, I got too comfortable and instead of making a list I've just told myself I'll do 3 things when I get home. Without the list I feel less compelled to do these things or sometimes even forget. As for my workouts I'm pretty on point with the exception of Tuesday and Thursday ab ripper days. There are just some days I like to come home from work and pass out on the couch and to that I say....STAHP IT Sito, Level 1 Elf Ranger STR 3|DEX 4|STA 1|CON 3|WIS 2|CHA 2 "6 Week Challenge" Link to comment
doctor_ice
I feel you, if I don't get my workout done before work, I never comeback and do it. It's not like I'm too tired either, I'm just lazy. Level 1: Half-Orc (eventually Half-Elf)Profession: Ranger (eventually Monk)STR: 1, DEX: 1, STA: 1, CON: 5, WIS: 3, CHA: 4 Link to comment
