chris_de_maas
Goal 1: Get back into a proper workout routine and get strong again (+2 STA, +2STR)I haven't been serious about working out in almost a year. I would workout for a few weeks and then, somehow, something would always get me to stop. That's the end of it. I'm getting back into a proper workout routine and I am going to get and feel strong again.I will complete 6 bodyweight workouts a week, all from home.3 will be HIITs. They will vary a lot/every time so it will be hard to keep track of the exact progress for each exercise but the focus will mostly be on increasing stamina and speed while keeping a proper form.3 will be rep workouts. I will keep the same format each time but modify the exercises or time as I go along to make it more fun and add some variety.Goal 2: Lose weight (+2CON, +1CHA, +1WIS)I can't fit a pair of jeans I could fit a year ago. It pisses me off. What pisses me off the most is that I couldn't fit these jeans for 7 years, managed to lose the weight, could finally fit them for about 6 months when they became incredibly loose, bought myself another pair of jeans I couldn't fit so I had something to work towards. Then all hell broke loose when I was incredibly close to fitting the new pair of pants and now I can't fit my old jeans. So back to square 1.The thing is that last time I lost the weight, I did it by working out like a maniac and starving myself only eating salad for over 3 months. Yeah, salad and nothing else. And barely enough of it. Dumb, dumb girl! I'm not going to make that mistake again. So for my second goal, I will be losing weight, sure, but by eating enough and all Paleo (already 90% there) which will help me keep and improve my strength and lose fat. Also, nobody is perfect so there may be slip ups. I'll allow maximum of 6. They can all be in a week, or they can be evened out, it's not important. The only thing is that they need to be worth it (as in actually enjoyed), not just because I'm cranky and want some ice cream or as comfort food because I got a rejection (see goal #4). I also need not to be too hard on myself if it happens which is something really struggle with. A slip up isn't the end of the world so me beating myself up for it for the rest of the challenge is just stupid.I don't have a set of scales at home + I don't really care much about how much I actually weigh, so results will be by photo comparisons.Goal 3: Core Strength (+2 STR, +2 STA)I am terrified of doing ninja jumps so obviously, I want to be able to eventually manage 10 in a row. For that, I will need an iron core. So my third goal for this challenge will be based on planking. More specifically, on the rolling plank of doom. Which basically means 9 planks: front - side 1 - back - side 2 - front - side 2 - back - side 1 - front.I'm going to start with 45 seconds/plank for each one of my workouts which means 7mins15secs/workout and 243mins by the end of the challenge. Knowing that I want to improve on those 45secs, I am going to round it to 250mins total by the end of the challenge.I allow myself a maximum of 3 breaks for weeks 1 and 2, 2 breaks for weeks 3 and 4 and 1 break for weeks 5 and 6. Breaks cannot be taken during a plank but in between two planks. And obviously, the fewer breaks, the better.Goal 4: Get it together and cowboy up (+1.5WIS, +1.5CHA)Life is messy right now. Really messy. Mr De_Maas and I just moved to Copenhagen and we're looking for a flat. I'm also looking for a job. So my fourth goal should pretty obvious: find a home and find a job. Well I've decided that these shouldn't be my goals as they aren't completely in my control but it's time for me to try to stop being the shy girl that I am and cowboy up. Assassin up actually. So my final goal for this challenge is to be more out there.First, I need to get my portfolio out and work on my concept design portfolio. This is what I want to do so time to stop being scared and freaking do something about it. I have printed 10 copies of my portfolio, I need them all to be gone by the end of the challenge. Even better if I need to print an extra batch. I also want to have at least 6 projects to put in my concept portfolio by the end of the challenge, one a week.Second, I need to get to know this new beautiful city and experience it for myself. I have never ever gone around Copenhagen on my own and this needs to change. As my final goal I will go out for a walk/go to a museum/do something on my own at least once a week. It will be a bit complicated for the next 10 days as we are quite far away from down town so I will give myself a pass for the first week but will need to catch up. By the end of this challenge, I will need to have gone out on my own and at a different place 6 times. 1 Level 6 Amazon Assassin Ranger challenges: #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 the rebuilding of the Amazon: #6 Link to comment
Wolverine
I love the "put yourself out there" nature of your fourth goal. We Assassins spend so much time in the shadows that we tend to forget about getting out and about. Wolverine Level X Mutant Link to comment

It'll be very uncomfortable but that's what it's all about, getting out of my comfort zone. Nuala
Don't. Look at the temperature, it doesn't really feel like -1°C. More than 3 or 4 above zero. I admit it's a bit hard on the hands and feet sometimes but nothing a good and warm pølse won't heal! And museums are well heated too, I went to the Copenhagen city museum yesterday, it's free on Friday and it has some interesting displays.
