Morrigainz
Hey Loren! Glad you stopped by ;-) I dunno about chat. Its hard enough to keep up with a few threads on here and get my skyrim on!Seriously though I am trying to be more productive and less lazy. For instance, today is a cooking/cleaning day. I already made omelets for me and Mr mirgss, and I am making a breakfast scramble for the week, and chicken, and Brussels sprouts, and getting pot roast ready for tomorrow, and then figuring out what to do with the choy sum I bought. And then there's laundry and cleaning the kitchen. And then of course walking dead :-) Level ? Burninating the people! miiiiRRGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. As you were. I had to restrain myself from literally laughing out loud, singing along in my head. Trust me, that doesn't happen often. So. I basically wasn't on the computer at all this weekend, just my tablet, so that's why replies were short and/or grammatically incorrect/misspelled. Friday I didn't have time for kickboxing (sadface) so instead I played Skyrim. Saturday I got up at the buttcrack of dawn and did an hour and a half of yoga with my sister. The reason it was so early is because it was free. It was hard. So hard. I thought the teacher would have pity because it was so early on a weekend but she didn't. At all. So I'm still sore today from that (particularly in my hammies and core). Then I went to see Silver Linings Playbook (soooo good) and went grocery shopping. Zen I took a nap. Zen I fired ze missiles! Sunday was my cleaning/cooking day. I made omelets for breakfast, did 4 loads of laundry (and put it all away), made a breakfast scramble, chicken, brussels sprouts, choy sum (an experiment), mayonnaise, and prepared the stuff for a pot roast for today. Then I cleaned the entire kitchen. It was a busy day. Today: running to the gym in this below-freezing weather in shorts and a tank top, and taking my OHP vid! Morrigainz
So, did some research on Wendler, and have a few thoughts. 1. This seems like a fairly simple program to follow, once you have your maxes figured out.2. I have no idea what my 1RM is. Pitiful now. I know there are places that can "calculate" it off whatever you're lifting now; I guess I should do that?3. He advocates not lifting 4 days in a row. But that's what I'm planning on doing. Or I guess I could follow the 3x per week plan and, you know, not kill myself (since I'm planning on running, and possibly yoga, and kickboxing in between).4. I'm not sure if I should go for I'm Not Doing Jack Shit or Bodyweight...since I don't have a lot of time. But it seems like a shame to go into the gym and only do one lift. CapN_Tommy_Sunshine
I'll send you a link to the 5/3/1 spreadsheet I found. You put in your starting numbers and it does the math for you. Morrigainz
I personally like templates to track my stuff. Although I guess it wouldn't have been so bad to write my own. I could do a little more research on BBB. I'm just concerned about the time crunch is all. Here's what the schedule looks like: Change clothes in bathroomRun to gym (.4 miles, about 5 mins)Change shoesLift ALL the things!Change shoesRun to work (.4 miles, about 6 minutes after all that lifting - phew!)Change clothes in bathroom So. Maybe 45 minutes of good lifting time, during some of which I am probably still breathing hard from my "run". I want to maximize the time I have at the gym without going over my lunch time. My boss is cool, but I don't think he'd be as cool if I consistently took 1.5 hour lunches. Level ? Video coming to the form check thread shortly. I can't help at all with advice re: Wendler, but I did want to throw out that there I think the calculations for 1RM are less than accurate for women. Generally, our 5RM tends to be a higher percentage of our 1RM than for men, so the calculators skew a little higher for us. If you can take a workout day and actually test some maxes, you'll probably be better off than going based on a calculator. I don't know why. I would rather scrub moldy, mildewy dishes than put away laundry. Just one of those things I suppose. And, it was FOUR LOADS. That's a good point about 1RM. One thing Wendler does is base your lifts off 90% off your 1RM, so what I might do is a little calculation here and there, and then tweak it to what I think I can do.Yeah....I won't lie.
