I am excited about the new challenge.  I am continuing one goal from the previous challenge, and changing the other ones around a bit based on what I now know doesn't work for me.

 

Goals:

1.  Cardio - increase total cardio time per week from 4.5 hours currently to 6 hours at the end of the 6 weeks.

This goal was relatively easy for me last time as I was moving from 3 hours per week to 4.5. Moving up to 6 hours per week will probably be more challenging, especially if the weather is bad or I get sick.  I do like that this will be more of a challenge this time, and I feel that I've got some very good habits going already.

 

2.  Fitness variety goal - I want to be stronger and leaner.  I learned from the last challenge what doesn't work for me, so for this one I am setting a different goal each week to building my strength and toning.  Some weeks will include a healthy eating goal.  Each week I will pick something that is a bit challenging, fun, and measurable.  I hope to find something that I continue on challenge #3, or maybe I'll find out that this variety thing is the best option for me.

 

3. Life goal:  progress on my dissertation.  Counting pages written per week fizzled out in the last challenge.  This time I am going to copy my cardio goal success and count minutes per week.  I am starting out with 3 hours per week and increasing the amount each week.  I'm not sure how this will work out over the next 6 weeks, but I know I need to do something different.

You are certainly stepping it up with your cardio goal!

 

I love the idea for your Goal 2. Will you be posting what each weeks area is? What are you doing this week?

 

How is the writing coming along? How many minutes so far this week?

Goal: 1001 Steps on the Road to a Home -> 18/348 in 2015

I haven't been participating on the forums, but I did accomplish several of my goals:

 

Goals:

1.  Cardio - increase total cardio time per week from 4.5 hours currently to 6 hours at the end of the 6 weeks.

I give myself an A++ for this one.  Some weeks I ended up with 3 hours of cardio to do on the weekends, but I usually exceeded my goal time each week.  There is also a fitness challenged going on at my work, we are just counting days per week, but it gave me the motivation to get at least 30 min of cardio 7 days a week.

 

 

2.  Fitness variety goal - I want to be stronger and leaner. 

I give myself an C for this one. I was able to do something for variety each week, and I definitely feel stronger.  But the leaner part didn't happen.  This will be a goal for the next challenge.

 

 

3. Life goal:  progress on my dissertation.

Arghh - very little progress here.  I am taking a break this quarter.  I think I need to do some things at the administrative level.
