I know there are some things that are bound to change, such as my eating goal, mainly because I plan on doing the 30 day Paleo challenge with the potential to completely transition to a Paleo-esqe lifestyle. This will probably happen during the challenge and I might reflect my goals as such. We shall see = D Height: 5'8" Current weight - 200 lbs.Waist - 34"Hips - 46"Goal - 150Waist - 30"Hip - 40" The main reason I have a weight goal is to have something to work towards. I mainly just want to get healthier and change my lifestyle = ) Goal 1 (Life): Study at least 30 minutes a day for the GRE. 6+ days: A4-5 days: B2-3 days: C0-1 days: F Goal 2 (Fitness): Beginner's Workout 3x a week. 6+ days: A4-5 days: B2-3 days: C0-1 days: F Goal 3 (Diet): Do not buy anymore artificial sugars, grains, beans, or dairy to put in the new place. Donate or eat (if donation is not possible) what is left in moderation! Still limit aritifical sugar intake. 0-1 days: A2-3 days: B3-4 days: C5+ days: F Goal 4 (Diet): Drink 6 - 8 cups of water per day. 6+ days: A4-5 days: B2-3 days: C0-1 days: F Where's the D? This is the one case I don't want the D (hur hur hur). You are right we are close on our goals but you are ahead of me on the weight as well so I will be working hard to catch up! Getting below the 200lb mark is a huge goal for me (and will be rewarded with a weekend away in a beautiful Spa). The water goal is so worthwhile it takes a while to get into the habit but it was one of my goals last challenge and now I am up to 10 - 12 glasses a day and miss it a lot if I don't get enough one of the best tips I got was to include herbal teas towards my goal (as I was off coffee at the same time this was great). I now add 4 - 6 cups of herbal tea to my 10 -12 glasses of water and my skin hair and nails are all thanking me for it Looking forward to checking in with you over the next few weeks.MD Link to comment

I also add Black Tea, peppermint, and whatever Trader Joes has that sounds deliciously flavored! OOOO! I just remembered a delicious tea TJ used to sell called Duchess Grey (female version of Earl Grey) it was amazing. I didn't need any sweetener. Maybe you can find it. Since I'm not really looking at my weight (I actually told one of my coworkers how much I weigh yesterday and he told me I look great and carry it well regardless which I do find as a compliment), I'm trying to ignore the numbers. Even kinda the same with my measurements. I just want to eat healthier, cleaner, and just have overall better health. If the weight come off and the fat comes off too, those are just added perks. I only want to tone up these flabby arms, lose my kangaroo pooch, and tone up my butt and thighs. Hello Serena Williams booty! Her butt is like...one of my ultimate lady crushes. I've never even heard of Republic of Teas but it'll be one of the first websites I browse this morning. I do havea Teavana close to me and there's also a locally owned tea shop about 30 minutes from me that I've only been to once and never returned (not because it was bad, it was really awesome actually, I just suck) so this gives me a real reason to go back and say hello. And grab some tea and tea goodies! Goals look good! Don't worry, DOMS won't be so bad after a couple of weeks. It doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. It's just your body being a bit shocked by this new thing called exercise (or new *types* of exercise). I love tea. Buying fancy flavoured gourmet teas is one of my self indulgent treats. Do experiment with buying different and new types. If you can, find a specialist tea store. Otherwise, check out health food stores as well as your big grocery stores, for more variety. Definitely give chai tea a try, and a herbal tea with spearmint in it. If you're eating out, see what tea options they have and try something new. One of my diet goals at the moment is increasing my tea consumption, so if I'm tempted to snack out of boredom, I have to drink some water or tea first. DOMS isn't so bad to me. I kinda like the pain. Kinda. Waking up first thing in the morning with it though SUCKS! Sucks something serious. I really, really, really want to get into lifting. I can use my own weight against me but I really do enjoy machines. Maybe I've been brainwashed! Strength training is my favorite! I'm a tea drinker and lover as well but growing up in the South, our tea is sweetened. And delicious. After moving up North where sweet tea is a rare commodity, I've kinda gotten used to unsweet tea but I'm still not a real fan. I can tolerate it though. I will look into some chai teas (even though I'm not a real fan of it either kinda), the spearmint and something fruity! Love my fruity tea! And it'll be nice to get some variety cause just drinking water gets suuuuuuper old for me really quickly! Yesterday, I found a sleepy time drink of boiled milk, cinnamon, and raw honey so I'm going to be looking into that too for sleepy and a little bit of sweet in my life. Ba'sini'on Posted April 19, 2013 Report Share Posted April 19, 2013 Don't worry about failing grades, did you know that it is best to study for certain amount of time and then "rest" by exercising? When studying it's also recommended to listen to some low key music such as jazz, classical, etc. Studying for to long makes the mind tired and uninterested so the information is not stored. I got this from my memory and study help book. Just doing intervals of study and then something physical whether exercising or cleaning has been helping me. No t.v.! I tried that and my mind forgot everything, so now my "rest" periods are solely a short workout or starting my wash. Ahhh tea.....I gave up coffee, so I have replaced it with tea! I like Twinings Oolong, green matcha tea (Kirkland brand from Costco, if you have one around), and when I get weak and decide to use some stevia, I will have Zhena's Gypsy Tea coconut chai black tea.....it tastes like cake! I bought a bunch of different vegetables, and I am throwing whatever I feel like into my meals, and have come up with some pretty good stuff! SimplyTsundere Posted April 23, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 23, 2013 Today I put my Asian marinated short ribs in the crock pot so I'm looking forward to eating those for dinner. I let them marinate for a few days so...I hope that wasn't too long keeping them raw in the refrigerator. If anything, cooking for 7+ hours should kill anything in there. I think I'll do a salad or some random vegetables with it. For some reason, I feel it's another week.
