Workout Log - 5/28

Dynamic Upper Body

 

Standard warmup/mobility/cooldown

 

Tuck Front Lever - 30x, 20x sec

 

Headstand Pushup - 9x+, 9y+, 6x+ reps

 

False Grip Pullup (BW) - 5e++ reps

False Grip Pullup (+20) - 5e++ reps

False Grip Pullup (+40) - 5x++ reps

False Grip Pullup (+60) - 4x+, 4y+ reps

 

RTO Ring L-Sit - 15e++ sec

Ring Dip - 9x+ reps

L-Sit Ring Dips - 8x+, 8y+ reps

 

Concentration Curl (35 lb) - 10y++/10x++, 8y++/8x++ reps

 

- Wow, 2 days into my diet break.  What a difference a few more calories makes.  Pullups were 'eh, but everything else was awesome.

 

- Getting close to 10, 10, 10 reps on the headstand pushups.  I'm eager to start marching them down to the ground.  Not sure why I picked that rather arbitrary point, but its been the goal I've been working towards, might as well stick to it.

 

- I'm so used to a rep here, a rep there.  Significant increases are just mind blowing to me nowadays.

Yes.

So close I can almost taste it.

Progress isn't that great, hell I've been able to do these things for over a year now, you'd think I'd be further than 9 reps by now given that I've always at least worked them 1x a week and have a lot of crossover with other exercises.

Its always nice when your endgoals are the same as your wifes personal perfect prefferences.

 

gives you an extra carrot to strive for, without having to adjust to anyones needs but your own!.

 

 

and thanks for all the data you give in your tread, its nice for us to follow, and give some good ideas :)

They seem to be unique in this aspect (I suppose we are asking a relatively small muscle group to move a lot of weight).  If you're anything like me your progress is gonna hit a MAJOR wall as soon as you add the PBs.  SO FREAKIN' SLOW MOVING.

This is the same thing about the strict overhead press. You either need to be patient, or hit the movement a lot. Hence the old 'to press a lot you must press a lot'. You are kicking ass.
