honeysuckle
unfortunately that's human nature - we think! and then sometimes we overthink and sometimes we think about too many things at the same time. But the trick is learning to not let the thinking overwhelm you "Bad" days happen. Just take them in your stride and enjoy the little things in those days Have a good weekend.hmm...wonder if I'll live long enough to learn to not let the thinking overwhelm you? good advice beginning Ranger STR10, DEX2, STA6, CON6, WIS10, CHA1 "What lies before you, what lies behind you, is nothing to what lies within you" Lenni-Lenape saying battle log http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34950-honeysuckle-weathers-the-storm challenge 5 thread http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34211-honeysuckle leaves the nest/snacking support group http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/33057-were-not-cookie-monsters/ http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/47613-seasoned-newbie/?p=1001194 Link to comment
adorkable2007
Ahah. Found you. In regards to goal #4. I feel you! There is a blog I follow by a little old lady, FlyLady, it may be a little extreme for just your organizing but she has some good ideas. Suggestions via FlyLady in case you don't have time to read through her stuff: You can do anything for 10 minutes, so set a timer and take 3 boxes into your room with you. The three boxes should be labeled, put away, throw away, and give away. This way you make a quick decision on what needs to be done with your clutter. Then later you can put things in there proper places. I realize this is just your bedroom, but she has "zones" in cleaning your whole home. You may be able to use some of her bedroom checklist to help you get it cleaned up. Current Challenge Thread ---> Here! Mom. Wife. Engineer. Kicking Ass & Taking Names! Link to comment

So, yesterday was Day#5 and my pc wouldnt work again. Very moody this one. Goal#1) Did my BBW at my gym and did not weightd myself out off my weighting day(i have this nasty lame habit of getting anxious).I keep eating healthier than i used too, as i am not aiming for grand changes diet related right now. Will be a further goal, for sure. Goal#2) I actually ate out yesterday (went Subway, as it's the betterish option of fastfooding) and didnt even thought about getting n soda \o/Sparkling water did all the buzz, so yay me big time. Goal#3) As the week comes to its end i can checkmark this one, attended to all of this weeks classes! Goal#4) Loved adorkable2007's tip! Will most surely start trashing, putting away and donating stuff today. My bedroom is actually not my bedroom. It used to be a sort of "home office" that after some reforming fit my bed and ended up my bedroom (i used to share the bedroom w my younger brother). So there are tons of stuff here not related to bedroom material that i have to trash nway. The goal for the weekend is having something done by the end of sunday, at least. Shanna
That timer suggestion is a godsend for cleaning! My cousin told me about it a year ago. I'm obsessed with podcasts so if you like those you might want to try turning on a 10/20 minute one and working on organizing during it! It keeps your brain busy so you don't get too bored.. honeysuckle
Shanna- great idea on the podcast distraction. I need, but don't use, timers for all of my activity. My son was/is a dreamer, but I always thought he inherited that gene from his dad, not me. When he used to clean his room, which was absolutely no square inch of floor space, I'd give him an hour and come in and there he would be, happily sitting there with no apparent change to the stuff. He told me that he couldn't pick anything up without playing with it. For my workouts, I now record my start and finish time, and limit my workout time (these are at home) to 30 minutes, so if I find myself tweaking my workout chart or my playlist or whatever, I have to catch myself or I can't finish all my exercises. Boredom busters are absolutely necessary for cleaning and organizing- so much better stuff to do. beginning Ranger STR10, DEX2, STA6, CON6, WIS10, CHA1 "What lies before you, what lies behind you, is nothing to what lies within you" Lenni-Lenape saying battle log http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34950-honeysuckle-weathers-the-storm challenge 5 thread http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34211-honeysuckle leaves the nest/snacking support group http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/33057-were-not-cookie-monsters/ http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/47613-seasoned-newbie/?p=1001194 Link to comment

Muryanp
Soo.. I seldom do internet during weekend. Quick review of the week#1 1) Did great, i ddnt weight nor measured myself again, i'm doing it this week, but i completed all my workouts and avoided tons of crapy food.Ate a burger and had some ice cream during the weekend, but that was already expected.Grade A 2) Sunday the need to have some soda stroke me, as i was at my girlfriend's and there was no sip of my magic elixir around. But i found my way through the need and am still 100% soda-free.Grade A 3) This one was completed since last thursday, so, great.Grade A 4) I threw some stuff away, mostly office related stuff, during the weekend. Up to the date. This one will actually be graded by the end of it. So far so good. I 30.000% loved the company of all you nerds during this first week, hope we can all begin week#2 together minding each other's business Muryanp(Lvl 2) Bearborn Adventurer[sTR 8 - DEX 3 - STA 1 - CON 10 - WIS 7.5 - CHA 6.5]{ Prologue | Chapter 1 | ... }You can also find me on Twitter! Muryanp
And now, on to Day#8 The day actually started bad. I had a paper due to today, i had to work late i couldnt hit the gym, i was carving for some crappy food and i am now really tired. The good part is i can actually catch up with my workout routine tomorrow and do TueThuSat, no problem in that.I also did not eat bad stuff despite the desperate need to. I'm thinking in reducing the day i can eat this stuff to saturday only. Not so strict, but i'll try to get back on tracks sunday, not to start off the week in this miserable shape.I have to watch my sleeps, too. Creating better sleeping habits will be a future goal for sure. But one step at the time. The day is gone, finally, and i gotta hit the bed, tomorrow i have my stretching class to attend to. Shanna
Always dominate Monday. I love this concept. So glad you posted the link! I gave up cokes a few years ago and once you get used to it you really won't miss them the majority of the time. They taste too sweet now, too carbonated, etc.. This isn't like giving up bread (because I think bread will always taste good). Once you get over the hump it gets really easy. When I first started, I would say I am only drinking a coke on friday. And then I didn't want one on friday anymore and I just stopped. Link to comment
