Past 6 weeks Milythael and The Wolf have been huge inspirations to me and helped me through a great deal of funk!!!

The Wolf inspired me to go from an asari assassin to a wolf assassin and I'm feeling more at home with that.

Here's what I'm working on:

ArisaBeforeAfter_zps3d7eaf45.png

I've listed my goals in the first image, but here they are again in more detail:

1. Make 1 cookbook meal a week +2 Con, +2 Cha

I have a number of cookbooks lying around that I'm not using.

In my quest to eat better, and learn to eat more types of food, I'll make 1 cookbook meal a week.

It's gonna be made on weekends most likely. I will not judge the ingredients, but just try it.

2. Do a crow pose +4 Dex

I've been working on this, but can't really get 1 foot of the ground comfortably.

Not sure if it's manageable, but I'm gonna do my utmost best!

3. Follow bench press program +3 Str

I made myself a program I think I can stick to. Today (Saturday) I'm suppose to do 5 reps of 6kg/hand bench press (I use dumbbells)

Here's what I have in mind:

Week 1

- Monday: Do 6 reps with 6kg/hand

- Wednesday: Do 7 reps with 6kg/hand

- Friday: Do 8 reps with 6kg/hand

Week 2

- Monday: Do 5,2 reps with 6kg/hand

- Wednesday: Do 5,4 reps with 6kg/hand

- Friday: Do 5,5 reps with 6kg/hand

Week 3

- Monday: Do 6,5 reps with 6kg/hand

- Wednesday: Do 7,5 reps with 6kg/hand

- Friday: Do 8,5 reps with 6kg/hand

Week 4

- Monday: Do 8,6 reps with 6kg/hand

- Wednesday: Do 8,7 reps with 6kg/hand

- Friday: Do 8,8 reps with 6kg/hand

Week 5

- Monday: Do 5,5,2 reps with 6kg/hand

- Wednesday: Do 5,5,4 reps with 6kg/hand

- Friday: Do 5,5,5 reps with 6kg/hand

Week 6

- Monday: Do 6,5,5 reps with 6kg/hand

- Wednesday: Do 7,5,5 reps with 6kg/hand

- Friday: Do 8,5,5 reps with 6kg/hand

This is based on my own experience with what my body is capable off.

I've noticed that my body doesn't get strong as fast as seems to be average (looking at other programs), and that's okay. I will get there!

4. Eliminate To Do List / Keep on top of things +4 Wis

Weekly chores and the stuff I've been putting off.

I have 2 more things to do for work and then I want to get some things done around my house.

That's my to do list. Otherwise it's taking care of my home :)

- Complete laundry (black, white, color, red)

- Clean the house (toilet, storage, hallway, bedroom, bathroom, kitty, living/kitchen)

- Water the plant on Sunday

Love the pictures (especially the after, Roar!) and love your first goal! That's one I should write down for future reference, plenty of unused (even paleo!) cookbooks on my shelves.

Maybe a very nooby thing to ask, but why are you doing bench press and not shoulder press?

Thank you :D

Nah it's not a nooby thing to ask :) I have very good reasons actually.

I'm doing bench press, because I can't do push ups and I want to work on my push strength to be able to do push ups.

To be honest I can't even do knee push ups and even wall push ups are tough.

Biggest problem is my shoulders actually, and something like shoulder press would kill me  I have a chronic injury which when I just had it, made sure I couldn't lift my arm up. So that's fancy.

I've done shoulder presses before and even without any resistance these are very hard for me to do.

Bench press I can do. So that's what I'm doing :) It's like push ups in reverse ;)

I agree with KB girl, awesome pictures :D

With the to do lists - good goal, just make sure you only put things on there that you absolutely have to do or really, really want to do :) Don't overwhelm yourself (or make too long to do lists because those tend to have an adverse effect).

I love your recipe goal! I love cooking and I always have a 'to make' list of over a 100 recipes. Some don't sound too good (actually, some are only on the list BECAUSE they have crazy sounding combinations) but sometimes those definitely turn out to be the best. Try some weird recipes/combinations for sure, you might be surprised :)

RAWR-awesome goals-you will be a beast. You can do the  crow, you have the balance and the strength. I understand what you are saying about strength gains being slower than average, that is me too. But, as long as you continue to level up, even if it is slow, its still leveling up

Thank you!

I have a set to do list I want to have finished. The list is already there.

There's 2 work items and then 6 minimalism items.

I know exactly what you're saying, it's something I'm good at (overwhelming myself), so I've created system upon system to try and work it out.

I'm trying to go with a "do it now" attitude, what if there's no to do list, because you do everything straight away?

I know that you can't do that 100% of the time, but I have a generally simple life so I do think it's manageable.

Thank you! I hate cooking btw, haha. So I always try to skip out on it. Like crash my parent's dinner, or somehow only have to nuke something etc etc.

My previous challenge I wrote down all I ate... you can go there and see all the creative ways to avoid cooking haha!

On top of that I'm a terribly picky eater and don't like most vegetables on top of anything spicy.

So yeah this'll be a true challenge for me :D

Thanks!!

I may have the balance, but most definitely not the strength, especially in my wrists. I'll get there though, with consistent training ;)

And indeed, as long as I keep going, even if it's sometimes in the wrong direction, but as long as I don't give up, I'll get there eventually :)

The crow does take strength in the wrists, especially to hold for any length of time. Do wrist excercises from GMB,and it'll happen. Plus its kinda cool, because you start to get forearm muscles, which for some reason make me feel very badass

Yes! I have floor 1 from GMB and crow pose is one of the things that's part of that, as well as wrist warm up etc :)

Haha badass forearm muscles sounds great :D

I'm definitely gonna work hard on this one. It's part of the much bigger goal I have to eventually walk on my hands :D But first I need the strength to be able to support my weight on my hands at all.

Actually offered up the template I was using back then... but apparently I deleted that one again.

No problem! and thanks :D

Woohoo, following the Wolf! I'll be cheering you on - crow pose is awesome!

:D Thanks!! and it is!!!

Thank you!!

Yeah I learned my lesson. My first challenge I set the goal for doing 5 regular push ups, I'm still nowhere near it

My complete bench press program is actually 28 weeks  Then I'll be at 10kg and 3x 8 reps.

You know even if I can do more, I won't, because it has interfered with continuous progress before.

I'm unsure about F1 at the moment. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. For now I'm having a cold though, so any exercise is extra hard work :(

I'm starting my challenge off with a BANG!

Actually no... I have a cold :( I will fight through it, but it's hard to get the energy going to do a workout... noticed that Saturday. Doing those 5 reps were killing, I was actually more ill then. But I did it. So totally on schedule now.

Final To Do List

Here's the final list for this challenge:

- process review on guide I made

- fill in documents to get certified for level 1... which is... this thing my company has?!? It makes as much sense as that

Then 6 items, so 1 a week I suppose:

- Declutter book closet

- Declutter CD/DVD/Games shelves

- Declutter kitchen

- Declutter winter gear

- Declutter dressoir

- Scan/photograph papers from vacation trips (as far as I can realistically get in a week?)

Today is gonna be slight hell though.

I started work at 7am instead of 6:30am... because I was at the theater last night and getting up at 5 was like NOPE.

So I finish work at 3:30pm. And I forgot to take my prescription with me, so I get home past 4pm, then have to go to my apartment, then have to go back down, then have to walk to the apothecary, then have to walk back.

After that it depends on time, but then I have to soon go again and sniff out how to get to my company's new building (moving was last week). From 6:30pm till 7:30pm I have a meeting there.

Let's assume 45 min driving time. So that makes 7:30 (if not later) + 45 min = 8:15pm at home. That's an hour before bed time.

Somewhere in this story I need to put in my bench press.

Also dinner (at the meeting) is pizza. PIZZA! I don't particularly like pizza. Yes shock I know. I ordered the 4 cheeses one.

This day spells disaster. I'll do my best though... but what's that confidence?

The more unknowns the more scary the day is. Because the more unknowns, the more I overwhelm myself.

PS. I got my new addiction lined up: Portal 2. Started that yesterday and I'm loving it!
