Space pirate Cobra. 

Lady Armanoid is Cobra right arm. Once a human, she became a robot and have been with Cobra ever since. When Cobra changed his appearance and erased his memories, she also altered her appearance to that the one of a basic maid robot, but went back to her original and sexy form when Cobra retrieved his memories. Strong and wise, she knows how to fight and is an ally that Cobra trust wholeheartedly.

 

Space pirate Cobra was one of the many cartoon that I watched when I was a child. These Japanese anime were really criticised back then because, well, they were not really for our age but still, my models at that time were those super-sexy but helluva strong Women. Be it the Cat's eyes sisters, Kaory in City hunter or Armanoid in Space Pirate Cobra, all of them were strong, sexy, flexible, knew how to fight and could rival any men. I don't know about you, but I've seen way worse as role model. :D So, this time, I want to remember my childhood wishes to be strong like them and actually work toward it. So I'll start my transformation, like Lady Armanoid.

 

 

Backstory:

Health my original and only focus. When I discovered NF, I was crippled by sleep troubles, struggling with depression, anxiety crisis and I was so damn weak... Now. 10 month later. I'm healthy. Not perfectly healthy but better than I was for a really long time. I sleep well, I can breath without the feeling that something is crushing my throat. I can get up and do stuff and not lingering for hours. I can lift myself up, climb blocs and Chinese poles and I even enjoy myself doing that! 

During these 10 month with you, I actually didn't cared much about my appearance. I never liked my body anyway, I just wanted it to be functional. And now it is. So, for once, I want to take the time to change my body shape, see if I can do something to actually make me like my body a little more.

10 month ago:

Weight: 53kg => 116.84lbl
Height: 1m60 => 5'25

Bust: 88 cm => 34.6 inches

Waist: 73 cm => 28.74 inches

Hips: 92 cm => 36.22 inches

Now:

Weight: 51kg => 112.43lbl
Height: 1m60 => 5'25

Bust: 87 cm => 34.25 inches

Waist: 69 cm => 27.16 inches

Hips: 88 cm => 34.64 inches

Biceps: 28.5 cm => 11.22 inches

No huge changes, sorry :D  My weak points are definitely my waist (I am a tube :x) and my butt (it's.. soft). Also, I have some rounded shoulders and a curved back. They will all be my focus points.

 

TrainingBouldering 3 times a week.

My usual workout is:

Rowing: 2 km in 12 minutes 30

Pull-ups: 1 set

Bulgarian split squats: 3 sets

Front/rear leg raises: 3 sets

Bouldering: 1 hour to 2 hours (+ 1 hour of Chinese pole occasionally)

Stretching: 20 minutes

 

Problem, bouldering is not a balanced workout. It focus on arms, shoulders and core but forget the legs and front upper body, see:

Battle plan:

 

Goal #1: Track.

From my last tracking, I could deduce that my weight is stable at 1400kcal a day. So this time I'll aim for 1200Kcal a day and see what it gives. 

Tool used: MyFitnessPal

 

Goal#2: Work on weaknesses.

To balance with my bouldering training, I should add:

3 legs workouts a week.

3 Glutes workout a week

3 Abs/back workout a week

3 front upper body workout a week.

 

Goal#3: Measure

Take my measurement at least once a week. Use them to change or not the calories intake.

 

Goal#4: Keep on moving

I still have a lot of languages to learn and the Black book to finish. I need to work on that a little every day.

Go Nuala!  There's definitely some change in your pictures thus far and I'm sure there will be even more now that you're focusing on it!  I like that all of your goals work together as well.  Have an epic-ally awesome challenge!

Okay maybe just like myself you're just blind for it, but you're standing so much more straight (less curved back) in the second picture! :triumphant:

Um, seriously, those photos are totally showing progress! Look at your abs! Look at how much better-defined your top pair of abs is! You've done awesome things. Looking forward to seeing you defeat your goals again. :)

Yes I agree with everyone else on the change in your photos.  I know it's hard to personally see the goals we have achieved though.  Keep up the great work!

We are always so much more critical of ourselves. I look at my own progress pictures and can't see much of a difference but there is a world of difference in yours! That progress is amazing and definitely something to be proud of :) Can't wait to see more amazing progress!

Guys, I haven't said there were no changes, I said no "huge" changes. :D You could have expected more after 10 month of training. 

 

Anyway, this week end was a little crazy. BF took his day off on Friday, so we went to the bouldering centre at 4pm.. and got out of there at 10pm. :| 4 hours of bouldering + 2 hours of chinese pole for me, my arms stings so much. Worse, yesterday was our center championship, it was open to everyone but we didn't participate but went to see the final. Of course, the chinese pole demonstration was just at that time, so of course, I HAD to climb it :D *ouchie* Futhermore, it was not the 2 usual poles, but 4 of them, placed in square. So it allowed us many new exercises and jumps and stuff!

 

The finals were great to see, BF and I have vowed to participate to the next competition! That will be fun.

 

And now, well, my arms still stings, my legs too, actually, my whole body hurts... but.. it's time to go to the bouldering center and see what problems have been installed during the night. New problems yay \o/ Arms outchie _o_

Ok, ready for some bouldering video? 

 

We may not have participated in the competition, but today BF and I tried our skills on a few problems that were used for the qualifications. The level was seriously high, even the yellow ones were stingy :D. The videos are an alternate of BF and me, depending on who was solving the problem the best.

I really need to train harder for next competition! On the 30 problems opened, I can barely solve 8 of them and I needed more than the 3 legal trials on some.

Awesome videos! 

 

I see a huge difference between your current pictures and the 10 months ago ones.  I can appreciate the frustration, though.  I climb with my husband, and I often feel like I train twice as hard for half of the gains that he gets. 

 

I'll probably stalk your challenge page a bit, since I have a lot of the same problems with balancing out a 3x per week bouldering workout with enough lower body work.  Unfortunately for me, when I climb, my hands and forearms give out well before I'm even slightly sore in the lower body.

Holy biceps Nuala! I'm totally jealous, cause that's sweet :) Also, those video were kick-ass. Totally makes me want to try climbing again. Its on my to-do list. Just gotta get this dizziness problem sorted out first. Lol

I have to remember your obsession with perfection to understand how you don't see the changes. You are down right sexy. Those characters may be your role models, but before long their artists are going to be wanting you to be their model. You don't have to be a genius to be amazing. You are amazing, astounding, and incredible. One of these days, I'm going to pry your eyes open with a crowbar so you can see it.

Day 1: Starting stats

 

Height: 160   cm

Weight: 51.5 kg

Bust: 88 cm

Waist: 68 cm

Hips: 88 cm

 

Calories: 1299 kcal brut. Ate way too much in the evening. I feel heavy now >_>

 

Exercises:

3 * 10 Bulgarian split squat, I need to add some lunge or something in my leg workout.

3 * 10 sliding toe planks 

1 * GMB core workflow (cf the OP) aka:

  • On knees
  • Sleeping warrior
  • Cat pose
  • Downward facing dog
  • Cat pose plank (plank with rounded back)
  • Snake pose
  • Cat pose plank
  • Elbow plank
  • Side plank left
  • Side plank right
  • Elbow plank
  • Downward facing dog
  • Cat plank
  • Sleeping warrior 

Quite sceptic at first, but this flow is actually a good core workout. You can really feel it. I will keep these 2 exercises for my core workout for the rest of the challenge. Also tried the GMB training to the L-sit. It's about time I work on it seriously. Slow start on the whole, I had troubles getting things done today.
