My name is Tiffany and I've lost 30lbs already and have more than 80lbs to go.

 

I've struggled with figuring out and following my own workout routines so I'm trying something new. I already started week 1 and I'm down 4lbs (mostly water weight) but it still feels good. Soo here goes my 4th challenge...

 

My 4th challenge goals

1. FITNESS : 3 + Miles a week - Walk/Run - Inside/Outside - Treadmill/Elliptical

GRADE:  A:3 - B:2 - C:1 - F:0 (per week)

WORTH: +2 DEX, +2 STA

 

2. FITNESS :  Follow Rebel Fitness guide Level 1

GRADE: A:6 - B:5-4 - C:3 - F:2-0 (Fitness days)

WORTH: +2 STA, +3 STR 

 

3. DIET : Cut down on fast food/eating out

GRADE: A:0-1 - B: 2-3 - C:4-5 - F:6-7 (Fast Food meals a week)

WORTH: +3 WIS & +1 CON

 

4. LIFESTYLE : Saving (3 pay days - $25 each) 

GRADE:  A:$75 - B:$50 - C:$25 - F:$0 (ENTIRE CHALLENGE)

WORTH: +2 WIS

Great goals - nice and simple, measurable, and targeted.  Best of luck with the new challenge!

 Level 4 Human Adventurer / Level 4 Scout, couch to 5k graduate, six time marathon finisher.

Thanks guys!

 

I've changed my lifestyle goal to a more realistic goal for this challenge. My birthday is during the challenge and I'll be taking a weekend trip down to Portland for some pampering and shopping, so the old goal just wasn't going to work. I didn't want to set myself up to fail. :)

Just booked my hotel for my Portland trip and I'm really excited. I've never booked my own hotel before and it really made me feel like a grown up, haha. Now I need to figure out what sort of new phone I want because my current phone is about die. I might wait until the Galaxy S4 comes out.

Haha thanks! I've purchased a condo and a new car but booking a hotel by myself just makes me feel like a grown up. Lol.

Wednesday was a bust. I left work late, spent too much time at the grocery store (were I caved and bought candy bars AND ate them uugh) then ate dinner way too late. By the time I got home and had eaten dinner, it was about time to go to bed. So as a "punishment" I'm going to do tonight's workout AT the gym instead of at home. I need to make up for yesterdays missed workout and do tonight's. 

 

And by punishment, I mean doing my workout at the gym not the workout itself. I'm a very self-conscious person, especially when working out. I'm mean, who wants to do Hip Raises or jumping jacks in public when you are super heavy, not me! Oh well, this is my own fault.

Don't grow up to fast! I love my Galaxy S3, I'm sure the S4 will be great too.

Shake off the candy bars and move forward.

Working out at the gym - I have figured out that everyone there is much too self-involved to notice what I am doing. I was super self-conscious at first, but now I put my headphones on and jump rope and figure if they don't like the way it looks, they should turn their heads the other way. (and I got a beastmode sports bra so I don't feel like the girls are jumping higher than my head which did attract attention in the past  :semi-twins: )

Keep doing what you need to do for your health!!

I never pay attention to people at the gym. I think we all think that everyone cares what we are doing and whether or not we look dumb. I think that's actually not the case. Generally speaking if I am at the gym I don't care what you look like or anything like that. All I care about is if you are actually applying yourself and trying to do a good job. If you are doing those things then hell yea! I'm all for you being in the gym. If you need to use my weight or anything come over and ask and i will gladly share. 

 

My fiance is struggling with the same stuff. We joined a new gym and go at 6 am just so that she feels more comfortable working out in front of the very few people that are there(I must admit it is also much easier on our schedules too). Whatever works. 

 

I will also be getting the Galaxy S4! We can be twinkies!! lol

I manned up and did my workouts at the gym. It was not so bad. The gym was not that busy when I arrived so it was perfect.

Warm Up - 30 mins elliptical
2x15 Squats

2x8 Knee push ups
2x10 Step Ups w/8lbs
4x15 1-arm rows w/8lbs (each arm)

HAHA I need to find a beastmode sports bra! The gym was not so bad but when it's packed and people are just eyeing everything, people watch...

 

As for the bad eating, its was that time and I really do crave bad foods before and afterwards. I'm trying to cut down but its tough. I keep trucking though. :)

Yeah I've been going later at night because it's not as crowded. Makes finding space for bodyweight workouts easier. 

 

Yay for twinkies! I just need the next month to speed by because my phone is driving me CRAZY.

Week 1 recap

This week was a tough start to the challenge but I pushed through and made the most of it. Instead of failing completely I pulled out a pretty great B effort. 

 

1. FITNESS : 3 + Miles a week - Walk/Run - Inside/Outside - Treadmill/Elliptical
GRADE:  B+: 2.5 Miles
Only did 1 30 min cardio session for the week so I missed this A, but just barely!
 
2. FITNESS :  Follow Rebel Fitness guide Level 1
GRADE: B:5-4 
Pushed Monday's workout to Tuesday. Thursday and Saturday's workout I did together and had 1 day of 30 mins of cardio then did fun exercise on Sunday. And by fun I mean extreme cleaning, organizing, running up and down staires and hauling trash bags out to the garbage bins at my condo. 
 
3. DIET : Cut down on fast food/eating out
GRADE: B: 2-3 
I planned on going out to dinner on Monday since I was going to be out all night but unplanned lunch and dinner outting on Friday. 
 
4. LIFESTYLE : Saving (3 pay days - $25 each) 
1 Done -> $25 to savings

Week 2 Plan

Monday: Strength/Body Weight & Light Cardio DONE

Tuesday: Cardio (20 mins walking need to make up 10 mins sometime this week- going to a Game night tonight) DONE

Wednesday: Strength/Body Weight & Light Cardio DONE

Thursday: Possible Cardio (Going out to dinner with co-workers if no cardio then I'll do something productive at home)

Friday:  Strength/Body Weight & Light Cardio SKIPPED

Saturday:   Active day but no weights (2 hours Walking the dog at local lake) & Cardio at gym 1 hour walking with a friend and 3 dogs! DONE
