One of my 6WC goals is to log my food, so I decided I'll start the battle log where I'll basically write down everything that I do ever. [i'll write down goals and notes for myself in square brackets like this]

 

So, April 15, Monday

 

Sleep had: around 6 hours [Go to bed at midnight instead of 2 am today, and not dawdle doing just "one more thing" on my phone once I'm in bed]

Got up: 9 am [Get up at 8:40 tomorrow]

 

Weight: 288 pounds

Waist: 120 cm (yes I am tracking measurements in cm and weight in pounds >_> it's for accuracy)

Hips: 131 cm

Top of leg: 74,5 cm

 

Work out

NF's Beginner Bodyweight Workout

only did 2 sets

of those:

only did 6 push-ups both sets [do 7 Wednesday!]

held the plank 10 seconds first set, 13 seconds second set [hold 13 seconds both sets Wednesday]

only did 10 lunges second set [do 12 lunges Wednesday]

Walked (my pedometer glitched out on me but I think I saw the number of steps before it did): 1788 steps. [Go past the red building tomorrow]

 

Food Log

Breakfast:

2 chicken wings, roasted: 86 calories each for a total of 172

pasta, 74 grams: 130 calories

a banana "for desert": 105 calories

This was a really big breakfast; I felt uncomfortably full afterwards. I only ate this much (and ate such non-breakfast foods) because it was my first and last meal of the day and I wanted to "store it" for the rest of the day. Which was just stupid of me plain and simple.

Monday is my fasting day, so didn't eat anything else.

Calories consumed in a day: 407

 

Energy notes

Began feeling sleepy and blah around 12-1pm, which my guess is from combination of coming down from carb rush from pasta and just plain old not getting enough sleep.

 

But! Felt much more energetic after my walk! Which is extra awesome.

 

So, all in all, this day is a win for the challenge.

I'm getting into counting calories, strangely. I counted up my BMR and at 2000 calories a day I should be losing weight reliably without feeling too deprived, so that's my caloric limit. It's actually pretty freeing! If I want to eat something unhealthy I don't have to beat myself up, I just write it down and add it to my daily intake. It made me more conscious of what I eat, and even though I'm not the poster girl for healthy nutrition I'm eating more vegetables and I control the amount of "treats" I get between meals.

 

April 16th, Tuesday

Breakfast (my notebook here has numbers all over but now  I have no idea which is which... probably should formalize my record system):

processed meat product that I'm not sure what to call in English :D

 

Lunch

chicken breast with cashews and cheese, 100 g. 140 calories

pepper 143 g. 37 calories

 

Evening "Eat ALL the things!" snack

processed meat product (similar to the one above but different) 105 g. 270 calories

lavash (a kind of flat bread) 44 g. 104 calories

"candy" from dried fruit and almond flour 82 g. 189 calories

marshmallow 13 g. 39 calories

coffee (which is 400 ml of strong cheap instant that I take with 3 teaspoons of sugar) 130 calories (yikes! gotta cut down on that coffee!

Calories in the day: 1453 + whatever breakfast was. My notebook says breakfast was 634 calories, which I have no idea how I arrived at now :) So that adds up to 2087 calories all in all. Slightly over :(

 

Activity log: NOTHING! Everything hurt after Monday, so I didn't even go for a walk :D

 

April 17th, Wednesday

3600 steps. What's funny is that the number of my steps is increasing but the time I spend walking doesn't. That means I'm getting faster! Will shoot for 4000 steps tomorrow :)
