Jumping in late, so this will really only be half a challenge. 
I tried doing my first challenge back in November and fell off the wagon after a couple of weeks, so, this is my second attempt...

Since I'm only doing half the challenge, and since I failed so miserably last time, I just have 2 goals:
 

  • Track Everything [+1 WIS, +1 CON]
    • ​Track all food/activity on WeightWatchers
    • Wear and sync FitBit every day
  • Couch to 5K [+2 STA, +1 DEX]
    • ​Follow the C25K plan and do workouts 3x per week
       

And since I'm only doing 3 weeks, I'm only going to take 5 attribute points if I'm successful. 


My motivation for starting this up again is that I'm moving with my bestie to NYC this summer. I would like to be able to actually be helpful during the move instead of having to sit down every 5min. I'm also moving across the country, in part, to get away from this ex that I can't seem to escape, and to just in general get a new jump-start on life. So, being fit and healthy and looking good, would be awesome. I want to enjoy NYC and not just sit inside and eat junk food. I also just turned 24 and for some reason am already freaked out about turning 25. I want to feel good about myself when I'm 25 and stop wasting away my youth. Or something.

I think C25K was a little easier today. It was also 20 degrees cooler outside than my first day. But, I think my legs hurt a tiny bit less today. :)

Went out with friends and didn't track food/drinks that night. Wore FitBit all day, though, and did C25K again.

Didn't track anything or wear FitBit. Lazy Saturday. Also went out with friends again and probably over-indulged. :(

 


Day 6:

Didn't track any food today. Didn't wear FitBit. (I was home with my family for Mother's Day.) But did go out and do C25K. I'm actually really excited because it was the first time I got through the whole workout without having to stop at all. I even jogged an extra minute at the end. It felt really good. Feels like I'm making progress. :)

Hi, Beth! It's really cool that you decided to come back and redo a challenge, especially considering you didn't use the midway challenge as an excuse to wait for the next one. I know I would have!

Week 1, Overall:
 

  • Couch to 5K: over 100% / A+
    • Did workouts 4 days this week. Exceeded goal of 3 days.
  • Weight Watchers Tracking: 63% / D
    • Only tracked 3.75 out of 6 days this week. (6 days because I started on Tuesday)
  • FitBit: 75% / C
    • Only tracked 4.5 days out of 6 days this week. (6 days because I started on Tuesday)

       

 

Average: 79% / C+

 

I'm really proud of my C25K progress. I really excelled at that this week.

Unfortunately, my weekend screwed up my tracking goals. Will have to plan better for next weekend.

Thanks, LadyofLayton! FitBit is just like a pedometer / activity monitor / sleep monitor thing that you can wear and it will sync to their website. You can make goals for how many steps you want to take or whatever. I'm just trying to get in the habit of wearing it to get a better grasp on how active I actually am and how much sleep I am getting. I am also using WeightWatchers online to track food/activity because I have used that system before and it worked for me. Although I could also track my food on FitBit and that would be free, so I'll see how it goes, I might end up dropping WeightWatchers. There is just something about points vs calories that sticks better in my brain.

I actually wanted to do C25K again, but it was really hot outside, and it was supposed to be an off-day for me, anyway. I tracked everything on WeightWatchers and wore my FitBit all day. Yay! :)

I technically should have done C25K yesterday, but I donated plasma and was really tired, so instead of trying to jog, I just went on a long walk (4 miles). I can still meet my goal if I jog today and Saturday. I tracked everything yesterday. Yay!

I suck at weekends! I also inexplicably completely failed at C25K. I probably should have gone to the gym and run inside. It was hotter than I was used to, and I only made it halfway through and then had to sit for a long time before I could drag myself home. :(

Got back on track on Monday! It's been nice and cool this week, so running hasn't been a problem. I've been tracking everything and am getting into a solid habit of wearing my FitBit, I think.

Today (Tuesday) was actually my first day moving on to Week 2 in Couch to 5k, so I am very excited! I took longer with Week 1 because it took me a few tries to even get through the whole thing without taking breaks. Running has always been SUPER intimidating to me, and I know C25K is for beginning runners, but honestly I think it's kind of aggressive for someone who is as out of shape and overweight as I am. I think it will probably take me 18 weeks instead of 9! But that's okay! :)

I also got my 5lb star on Weight Watchers. Good start to the week!

I was very late, so this was really only half a challenge for me.

Overall I'm happy with my progress, especially with getting into Couch to 5K. I also lost almost 10lbs in these three weeks. 
I think it's funny that I did worst in what I thought would be the easiest, and did best in what I thought would be the hardest! 

 

I'm excited to do the next challenge and get a full 6 Week Challenge under my belt. Already thinking of my next goals.
