Well the last challenge I did was in March and I'll be honest it didn't end so well.

 

I ended up with an inflammed rotator cuff by week 3 and on lifting restrictions for 2 months after that :( 

 

Taking that into consideration, this challenge is going to be more about rehabbing my shoulder and making sure it doesn't happen again. I usually like to power lift but for this the closest I'll get will be looking forlornly towards the weight bench while doing shoulder exercises.

Anywho

 

Vitals :

Age: 25

Height: 5'4 (Short enough to work harder but not short enough to have an extra cuteness factor)

Weight: 152lbs

Body Fat: 29%

 

Goals:

1. Increase shoulder strength by 15lbs measured against a lateral side raise

- Current: 10lbs, Goal: 25lbs

- Plan: 5x5 sets of shoulder exercises.

 

2. Increase run distance to running 1 mile non-stop.

- Currently I can run 1/4 of a mile non stop and I was pretty stoked about that when that happened.

- Plan: Utilize Couch to 5k to increase the distance

 

3. Increase Back Squat Weight by 25lbs

- Current: 85 Goal: 120lbs

- Plan: 5x5 Sets at 70% 

 

4. Life Goal! 

Well, the last time was to learn conversational Spanish and I didn't even touch it. I kinda want to try it again but not sure how it's going to work out.

 

Eeeh what the shell, I'll do it again cus I still want to learn Spanish. 

 

 

Difficulties/Obstacles:

1. I'm currently working on buying a house and if that comes through I'm going to have a TON of work rehabbing the house, which while that will certainly be exercise may take away from my ability to do actual workouts.

2. The neighborhood I live in is nooot exaaactly the best for late night walks. So I'll have to make sure I do it earlier and go North instead of south.

3. When I push too hard on running, I get chest pains of a nasty variety. However I've noticed that if I work up to it a little slower than I would like it's not as bad.

 

Overall Hope: Lose an additional 10lbs. This isn't a goal! just a hope. :)

 

I've had good results in the past eating Paleo and I'll have to get back to that. It was a LOT more food than I expected to be eating that's for sure!

Well Gotta update something real fast cus I weighed myself this morning and I'm 149.6 now! W00t!!!

 

Still 5'4 though, that didn't change.

 

I kinda started the challenge a biit early so here's what I did today. It's not full tilt yet! I just did this while my eggs were cooking.

 

6 Hanging Leg Ups

10 Lateral raises - 10lbs

20 Air Squats

20 Lunges per leg.

 

It looks like rain, but if I can I'll go walk a couple miles tonight when I get home while listening to Spanish Audio books :)

I clicked on your thread and realized 2 of our goals are the very same! Increase back squat and learn Spanish. I don't have any Audio books but I do use BBC UK - Languages. It's a free 12 week program on their site called Mi Vida Loca and it's exciting how it teaches you; well, to me anyway. Maybe that'll help you as well? Because it provides vocabulary, pronounciation guides, grammar, etc. Anyway, good luck with your goals!

First check in cus I'm an eager beaver. I did not go to the gym today, however I did my best not to be lazy after my first stumble.

3.9 mile walk at a 3mph pace. Yesterday I walked to the grocery store and back to pick up bananas.

I'm gonna get my best friend to take pictures for me, but that probably won't be till Sunday.

So, today.. I thought I'd already posted this but apparently not... To tapatalk is behind.

Anyways, I did not go to the gym this morning .. And i think I've figured out why, I'm not eating enough.

I did do minor calisthenics though

2 sets 10 wide shoulder pushups

1 set 10 leg lowers

4 negative pullups leg assisted, 10 second hold at the top.

Tomorrow is a two-a-day. Nairda and I are going to the gym after our respective shifts and I'll be going before work as well.

Food consumption today:

2 eggs

4 bacon strips

3 bananas

2 servings Paleo chicken stir fry

1 salmon patty, mostly Paleo.

5 cups of water

So work had a health screening today and I figured I'd get my numbers.

BMI: 27

BP: 123/75

Waist: 30"

Total cholesterol: 213

   HDL: 44

   LDL: 142

Triglycerides: 136

Glucose: 92

 

Weight is 151. But I know i have a lot of water weight this week.
