Bastet
Hellooo everyone! For the new potential epic friends that will drop here, I'm Bastet, a French future physiotherapist.I wasn't consistent in my last challenge and failed in most of my goals, but I have learned from my mistakes and taken some measures to prevent one more fail!I will focus on building a solid fitness base and mostly train my willpower in order to tend, in the end, towards more ambitious goals. So here are my new goals for the next 6 weeks: 1. WALK! +1CON, +2STAI can't say that I don't walk. I walk 10 minutes 4 times a day to school, walk to make grocery shopping, to visit my friends, I climb my officially-5-but-it's-an-old-building-so-actually-like-8-in-modern-standards-floors stairs at least twice a day, and when I'm on internship I basically stand and walk 6 hours a day.But walking is the base to a good health and a good fitness level, and I should do more. Plus, it's been 5 years that live in my city and I still don't know it. So, I'll be doing: 45min of walking on monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday 1h30 on saturday and sundayI may seem huge, but it's actually pretty realistic considering my lifestyle, especially for the week-days. The challenge will be on the week-ends.On week-ends I may switch walking to roller-blading for a little variety. 2. STRENGHTEN! +3STR, +2STABecause I'm weak. Basically. This is particularly true for my upper body.So I will be doing bodyweight strenght training (like Steve's ones) twice a week, on thursday and sunday. 3. STRETCH! +2DEX, +1CHAAfter cardio and strenght training, the third angle of fitness: stretching. Some areas in my body are really flexible, and some are really NOT (harmstrings and calves: yes, I'm talking to you). For that one, 2 ways: a good stretching session after each strenght training two 30-minutes yoga session each weeks, on wednesday and saturdayYoga was part of my goals for the last challenge, and I really enjoyed it. So I decided to include it in that challenge too. 4. SLEEP! +2CON, +2WISI never slept well, and I'm constently tired because of this. I plan on consulting a physician but I know that building a solid sleep schedule will help me.I'm gonna pick one habit each week to add to my "sleep routine". week 1: go to bed at 22:30 top week 2: drink an infusion week 3: turn off computer or tv one hour before and read instead week 4: gently stretch the body (especially the neck) week 5: write down everything that comes to my mind for ten minutes to relieve the stress week 6: NOTHING, just consoliding the habitsI will evaluate how I follow my routine, and very subjectively evaluate how I feel, if I sleep more or better, if I'm less tired.Grading for all goals:A: 100%B: 80%C: 65%D: 55%E: 30%F: under 30%Here we go!EDIT:Starting stats: age: 22 height: 157cm weight: 58kg bust: 83cm waist: 74cm hips: 87cm thighs: 48cm upper arms: 25cm neck: 33cm BF% (US Navy method): 24,4% Bastetlvl 2 werecat adventurerSTR 1 | DEX 4,5 | STA 2 | CON 3,5 | WIS 4,5 | CHA 9challenges: #1 #2Dirt Worshiping Backpackers Link to comment

I hope it will work well (well, I hope I will work well through it).Good to continue your stretching class! Bastet
hi, great goals - especially the sleep goal! *clicks follow* hugs...Yeah, sleep is really a problem, I really lack of it!Good luck! Those sound like great goals! Especially the sleep one. Wish you luck and will be following along. I'm also working on strength this challenge. It's so important but it's easier to fall back on cardio...Thank you! Yeah, strenght is not easy and doesn't feel natural to me. I've always been told by my parents to hike a lot, not to do push-ups Let's get started, good luck! ------ So, days #1 and #2: Monday: 1. I walked 45 minutes, and as my ordinary trips weren't enough for that day, I had to wander around until I fill my time. It was the first time that I was walking in my city without any particular goals, and it felt pretty weird. I used to hike a lot, so walking just for pleasure seems legit to me, but in nature. I really don't like urban environment, especially the city I currently live in (old, dirty, ugly, noisy). But in order to complete the challenge I guess I will have to accept that 2. rest day 3. rest day 4. I had to study for an exam I had this morning, so I went to bed at 23:00. NOT GOOD Tuesday: 1. Today I had a lot of trips (to school, to friends) so I walked for one hour and 15 minutes total. Totally rocking that thing! 2. rest day 3. rest day 4. Will make sure to go to bed in time! LadyofLayton
I like how simple your goals are! For walking around town I know exactly what you mean by not liking urban city areas. I mostly hate walking for how boring it is in my suburban neighborhood. You said you're in Marseille? That is crazy amazing to me. Where I'm from an 'old' area is 50 years old. I think this is considered pretty recent in here Marseille is 2600+ years old, as far as I know. But what I don't like about it is not the fact that it is old, I like old, I like ancient, places with a story, but Marseille is so not maintened...Good idea to imagine people life, my sunglasses would permit unspotted staring! ----- Days #4, #5, #6: Thursday:1. It's nice to have you around ---- So, it's been so long, where are we up to? I'm lost. Don't even know in wich week we are. 4? Damn time flies. Basically week 3 have been a mess. I just walk. Don't know how much excatly, but I think I wasn't prestty far from what I planned. I even hiked in mountain, I missed that, it was pretty cool.Didn't strenght train, didn't do yoga, did stretch twice however cause I was feeling back pain.I didn't really follow my sleep plan, socializing and seeing my bf almost everyday didn't help.Let's say it was a global E. Week 4:I'm back to my parents for a few days (I'm back to Marseille tomorrow), so I basically in larva mode (beside some hiking). But even if I don't follow my sleep plan I have some regularity in my sleep schedule and I sleep quite well.I will see how I will deal with the last 4 days of the week, but so far it's a D. But something strange (but cool):2 months ago, I'm pretty sure I was weighting 60kg, or at least 59. Now, I'm weighting 56kg. Last time I weighted 56kg I was 17. I don't know how I lost so much, I did nothing to. I basically ate like crap for a month during my finals.Walking might be more efficient than I thought. This or I have a tenia. For the next week I think I will change my strenght goal and switch to the blogilates beginner calendar. I lose momentum if I don't workout everyday. Maybe it will work better this way.
