Here we are, at the end of the road in a challenge that was both too long and too short. I started off strong, got injured halfway through, and got back on the wagon again. Met some truly inspiring folks along the way. Thank you, all. You made it easier to commit to this and stick to it!

 

-- CHALLENGE RESULTS --

 

Workout At Least 4x / Week+2 STR, +3 STA
Deets: targeted training routines, including interval training, tabata-inspired sets, etc.
A: 4x+ / week, 30 min each
B: 4x / week, 30 min each
C: 3x / a week
D: 2x / a week
F: Sitting on my ass

 

Awarded: A
The point of this challenge was really about consistency. What I did was less important to going out and doing something! I'm now comfy with carving time out of my schedule for exercise, and making sure I fuel up properly beforehand. Instead of crawling onto the couch after dinner to surf Netflix or watch a movie, now I get a little itchy if I haven't done anything active that day.


Eat a Clean Diet: +5 CON
Deets: starting with this meal plan with a few substitutions, limited to 2 meals 'free' per week
A: Follow the plan, 100%
B: Slip up once or twice
C: Slip up more than that
D: Slip in fast food
F: Give up and crawl under a rock. Or become said rock.

 

Awarded: B
I ditched the meal plan by week 3, after I started to understand how to eat and what to plan for each week. It's still not a 100% seamless system, as I love restaurants. ;) I also slipped up once or twice during my entire time, so a solid 'B' for effort, with room for improvement. This was all despite a major setback (neck sprain), where I had to continue eating right when my activity level went down.


Lose 2" off my "Pregnant" Belly+4 DEX
Deets: measurements weekly
A: Lose 2"
B: Lose 1"
C: Lose 0.5"
D: No inches lost
F: Inches gained  :(

 

Awarded: A
I lost over 1.5" over my belly, and have been good at keeping it off. I've also shed inches elsewhere. This wasn't a great goal to set at the start, but it did get me measuring consistently. I now understand that the core will probably be the hardest place to lose inches, but I'm well on my way! Overall, I'm awarding myself with an 'A' as I never thought I'd get my belly down to the point where I could see my ribs again. It's kinda weird.


Still Finding The Time To Game+1 WIS
Deets: crack open the console at least once a week
A: WIN! (no brainer)
F: LOSE the easiest challenge ever...

Haha, no brainer indeed! I went through bouts of ME1, The Last Remnant, Overlord and Halo. And I've reaffirmed my decision to build a dedicated gaming PC this summer. Look out for it on my next challenge!

Yay!!  You did a great job this challenge.  We both lost some tummy which is so good.

I like how you seemed to gain some enthusiasm about your diet during this challenge. It's great when you're on a diet, and when you love what you're eating... so many people hate diets.

 

Would I rather eat crusty bread all day long? Yeah, I totally would just go for that. ;) It's always a balance... I find it's better not to think of it as 'the diet.'
