Goals-

Push & Pull!
3 sets of push ups and pull ups until failure 3x a week. Looking to see some big improvement in both of these numbers.
[+3 STR] [+1 CON]

Run!
Run 4x a week with at least one run of 4+ miles every week.
[+2 STA] [+1 DEX]

Eat!
Lose 10 lbs by the end of the challenge... So, looks like I gotta start eating better.
[+3 CON]

Learn!
Research 3 artists each week and write up a little summary about them at the end of the week. I'm teaching art classes over the summer and going back to school in the fall for art education so I'd like to beef up my art historical knowledge.
[+3 WIS] [+2 CHA]

My biggest issue in fitness is always committment. I have tried a few challenges before and I usually quit before they are finished, so my number one goal in this one is to just do it. I'm going to follow the systems laid out in this post and be a robot for the next 6 weeks. Let's go!

Great goals! Good that you're thinking about commitment, just thinking about that in advance will help you commit. If you subscribe to your own thread (button top right) I'll pester you if you've been inactive for too long by posting in the thread so you'll receive reminder e-mails ;)

I've decided that to keep myself on task I'm going to post a recap every night including:

-What my workout was for the day.

-How well I ate (scale of 1-10, I may start tracking my food but I usually end up getting frustrated with that)

-A painting that I like. As part of my challenge to be a better art historian, I will be posting 40 paintings (1 per day) throughout the next 6 weeks.

-A motivational quote, image, video, etc... to keep me on task for the next day.

That ancient sound painting is really nice!

Did I correctly spot that you're already doing 1 extra pull up? Great work there :)

Painting of the day:

Guernica- Pablo Picasso

I just heard a great story behind this well-known piece. It is said that a Gestapo officer once searched Picasso's studio. Upon finding a copy of Guernica, he pointed to it and said to Picasso, “Did you do this?†To which Picasso replied, “No, you did.†Boom.

So much love for that little story. I hadn't heard it before. You're making me miss art school!

Van Gogh's Chair & Gaugin's Chair- Vincent Van Gogh

Conspiracy theory time! Some art historians think that Van Gogh did not cut his own ear of, but rather his friend and colleague

Paul Gauguin attacked him after one of their many heated disagreements. Wild!
