ASMR - For those about to tingle

Recommended Posts

Any other people here experience ASMR? For those of you who may not know, ASMR, which stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a pleasant, tingling sensation that starts the scalp and head and can radiate down the spine, arms, and even legs sometimes when certain sensory stimuli are triggered. Common stimuli include soft spoken or whispered voices, watching people do something requiring intense focus or concentration, sounds like crinkling paper, keystrokes, tapping, etc.

Had a friend show me some ASMR videos before... I don't think it effects me. I mean if I focus on any part of my body it will tingle slightly, but I don't get this intense sensation I've heard ASMR described as. That being said some of the softly spoken poems, guided visualization, and babbling on YouTube for the ASMR crowd is really relaxing regardless.
