Do I see a future NF Arnold Meetup in the works? This is all sorts of awesome!!

I'll be fan-girling over Sarah Robles, Holley Mangold, and the lift big eat big crew.

Speaking of Spencer, I have a chance to work out with those guys on Friday, but I can't because of work... waaaaahhhhh!!!!

Do I see a future NF Arnold Meetup in the works? This is all sorts of awesome!! I'll be fan-girling over Sarah Robles, Holley Mangold, and the lift big eat big crew. Speaking of Spencer, I have a chance to work out with those guys on Friday, but I can't because of work... waaaaahhhhh!!!!

I've been thinking of setting a 500lbs total for the arnold. A little less than a year of training? Probably doable. I'd have to add 100lbs to what I got right now.

Well, my competition total is 170, and my PRs total 185, but I haven't hit both PRs on the same night. I think the best I've done in one night is 175.

Teeheehee... don't grumble, just beat my PR! :)

I'm hoping to get a new c&j PR soon...

Week 4 recap

 

Goal 1: A warrior needs rest to be strong!

 

This is going well, actually. When I get less than 8 hours, it's a matter of 10 or 15 minutes, so nothing to beat myself up over. Plus, the snoozing brings me back to the right spot. :) Still had a few nights where my sleep fell below 7.5 hours, but not when I had to practice the next morning.

 

Grade: 5 nights with 8 hours sleep = C

 

Week 1 grade: C

Week 2 grade: C

Week 3 grade: B

Week 4 grade: C

 

Cumulative Grade: C

 

Goal 2: A warrior needs to eat good to be strong!

 

While not being good about tracking my food, I can say that I'm doing well still. I had 2 meh days this week, so I'll take the lower grade, but this might be where I use my bonus points.

HIT MY 80kg SNATCH!!! I DID IT!!! I DID IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!! And, it felt goooooooood. My form was super solid and I just nailed it. That was after missing 78kg for a PR and saying "fuck it, I'll try 80." Now I'm gunning for that 110kg clean and jerk. I'm really hoping to hit it before nationals!

 

Grade: B (so far) 

 

Bonus Goal: I gotta read more.

It seems as though 5-6 good days a week is where I’m at right now. I’m not going to beat myself up over this because I’m making gains and slowly dropping weight. I have increased my protein intake and am trying to substitute that for sweets when I get the craving, since my protein so SOOOOO delicious!

 

I’m definitely going to use my bonus points for one of these C weeks.

I actually finished my book! I was reading "Odd Apocalypse" by Dean Koontz. It was great! I love the Odd Thomas series. I'm trying to convince myself to buy the next one in the series, but I have other books I want to read also. I'm thinking maybe a nonfiction book before I get into another novel, but I just looooove reading Dean Koontz!

Since I got my 80kg snatch, but still haven't gotten over 105kg on my clean and jerk (or hit it recently... sadface), I'm going with a B- here.

 

Grade: B-

OVERALL GRADE FOR CHALLENGE: B

Not too shabby! I'm pleased with how this challenge went overall. I have become more aware of my eating and sleeping patterns and have made great improvements on both. I feel prepared for Nationals, and I'm hoping to do some amazing lifts there! I'll make sure to keep you rebels updated on my big meet!

just dropping in to let you know that you're awesome and I hearts you.

D'awwwww... thanks! I've fallen off the wagon hardcore over the past two days though. We are dealing with my mother-in-law's final hours, so it's been emotional and stressful... my two biggest eating triggers. I'll get back on track though. I just hope I can work through this and still perform well at Nationals.
