CakeBanisher
I like your vegitables goal! That seems like a good way to add them in without it being too traumatic. It's always hard when you're sick, but when everyone's sick, all bets are off. Good for you still getting your walking in! One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. childofscorn
Oh no! I think a lot of people were sick this weekend, including myself. That's awesome with the walking though. Try any new vegetables? "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." Link to comment
noxiousGnome
No new veggies yet... CakeBanisher
Sometimes life gets in the way. I got super-sick while trying to eat paleo once, and all I could eat were saltine crackers. I went with it. Sometimes you have to work with your body. Hope you're feeling better soon! One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. childofscorn
Aww I'm sorry to hear that! I was sick most of last week and kinda fell off the paleo bandwagon myself. Life can definitely get in the way sometimes Hope you start feeling better soon! "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." Link to comment

noxiousGnome
Getting better, still got crap in my lungs. Still no new veggies. we did make veggie burgers a few days back that were pretty good. been walking a lot.. like an hour + a day. i think i got that goal nailed down lol. Went to a physical a few days back, got weighed (they had me keep my shoes on... weirdness) anyway i weighed in at about 155, so i am guessing i weigh about 153? maybe? CakeBanisher
Hope your lungs decide to cooperate soon! Did you follow a recipe for the veggie burgers? And walking a lot is always good One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. What will matter is how you lived. -Henri Junttila My current challenge Link to comment
noxiousGnome
Yes we did follow a recipe needs a bit of tweaking for personal taste, but they were good. Also, My lungs seemed ot have cleared up for a while, but the last few days I have been coughing and gunk keeps coming up, I think it is stuff still lingering, we'll see =( I definitely nailed down the walking goal, but the others I just can't seem to do. =( It is rather sad. CakeBanisher
Sorry to hear about your lungs That can make things difficult. Nailing one goal is better than nailing none. So, maybe for this challenge you get your walking/jogging started. That's better than not walking at all. Next challenge, you will get more. It's cumulative. Just do something, even if it feels small, and eventually it'll build. And you still have a week left to finish strong! One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. noxiousGnome
I agree it is no fun, but nonetheless I feel like I have accomplished SOMETHING... I guess... noxiousGnome
Results of this Challenge: RED means failure, BLUE means success! GOALS1) Introduce a new vegetable every week for the next 6 weeks --2 points total of WIS(or .3 pts per week)2) Achieve 60 situps, or 10 situps a week (I suck hardcore at situps) 1 STR3) Walk/Jog for a total of 5 minutes a day, resulting in 30 mins per week. By week 6: 3 hours total. 1STA/1DEX The end results is 1 out of 3. I didn't do as good as I wanted, but it was my first challenge and I wasn't really SMART with my goals... Having an infant daughter at home makes goals challenging, maybe next challenge I will improve my goals a lot better. CakeBanisher
1 out of 3 is better than none out of 3 And now that you've tried this once, you have a better idea of what kind of goals will work for you, given your specific situation. So, next time around, you've already figured out what doesn't quite work, and will be destined for total success! One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter.
