Adding in some Bread

We have been trying to do Paleo since about April. We have been about70% compliant with a few weekend bingers while on vacation. I am having a hard time with pre-workout meals/energy. I don't think I am getting enough food in (well I know Im not). I have a hard time cooking meals for lunch because I have an over-energized 1 year old LOL. Im not big on veggies, I am trying to get more in, learn to cook them. like them etc. Question is this...I do Crossfit 1-2 times a week. How bad is it to add in a piece of bread or a tortilla as part of my meals on Crossfit days to help with the carb boost?

You said you're only 70% compliant, if it doesn't cause digestive problems I wouldn't worry about it. I would say I stick to paleo-ish on about 80% of my meals. But on the weekend, I'll have a burger, bun and all. It's not a big deal if it doesn't wreak havoc on your digestive system.

To me the paleo plan is about eating generally healthier. If a slice of bread gives you the carbs/energy you need to get through a workout, so be it.
