2 days down, so many to go!  LOL  =)

I have already accomplished a few of my weekly goals.  3 out of 5 of my positives written down.  I have ordered a lot of stuff for cosplay.  I also ordered some stuff to get the girls room done and asked my brother to come help me move stuff out of there this weekend.  Eating has been great!  No real cravings so far.  Weekends are what get me though.  I have plans on Friday to become a tourist in Denver.  LOL there are so many random places around Denver to see, the girls and I are going to be tourists.  Go see the silly things.  Should be a blast!  Kind of funny how I have lived here for over 13 years and havent seen most that is around here.

Yesterday I ran during my lunch break and have decided I will not be doing that often.  I dont like the feeling of dripping sweat as I sit down at my desk.  I didnt sweat much while running but geez as soon as I stopped it was like pouring.  My walks are relaxing as well as exercise so I will keep them as they are.

This mornings workout was forced.  I had a root canal done last night and half my face is still numb.  I did my cardio at gym, came home to do my video.  Got about half way through, doing squat jump thingys with weights overhead and BAM shattered my fluorescent light!  LOL glass everywhere.  It was so loud it woke up one of my daughters, she came out to help me clean.  (I have pretty awesome kids!)

I have accomplished so much this week but still have so much more to do!  I love having challenges to keep me busy =)  I also just signed up to do a gorilla 5k run in October.  I am super excited to get to dress up in a gorilla suit!  That will mean I will be doing 2 5k's that month!

Cosplay is great motivation! This was my first year going to Anime North and I did a costume as Karen from Harvest Moon. Have to say I was happy I did that much running because my shorts were short! Next year I'm doing Wolverine so we shall see what the next challenge brings.

Awesome grading system, I totally took something away from that either for modifying my current challenge or to improve upon the next. Love the positivity in your third challenge, many people in the effort to progress forget to be proud of how far they've come or the joy in accomplishing something.

Keep up the good work, I'm rooting for you!

I cannot believe that you worked out 12 hours after a root canal.  They are the worst.  The worst!

I won't lie: the mental image of you jumping up and shattering a light with weights made me chuckle.  Glad you are safe!  Try not to destroy your house this challenge.  :)

Busting a light bulb while working out is totally something that would happen to me too.  I'm so accident prone LOL.  Your daughter rocks for helping you clean up!

Great challenge! I love the goals, and I really like the mental one. One suggestion I have for that (and I may steal it for myself) is to choose a set time to do the reflection and always do it at that time. Like right after you weake up, right before you sleep or right after you get to work. Make it an actual habit and it will stick with you.

Best of luck!

You worked out after a root canal?! Clearly you're a superhero. I can't imagine how else you did it. :)

Sounds like you're doing really well with your goals  - and yay cosplay stuff ordered! You're inspiring my to get to work on planning my next costume! :)

I was still numb, LOL I didnt actually get full feeling back until like noon.

Have you done other cosplay?

For the most part my workout week is almost done.  I hit it hard the last 4 days, my butt and legs are yelling at me from yesterday.  I did modify my "weight" days.  Tuesday I got through my planned workout with so much time to spare.  Thursdays was so much better!  Today I am going to a Fitness Mix class at the Rec center.  I have already tried to talk myself out of it several times.  Damn that social anxiety!   I am definitely looking forward to lots and lots of stretching planned for tomorrow!

This morning I did some work in my self esteem book.  I feel good, spent about an hour working on it.  This week I have already done my 5 positives.  Sunday my brother is coming over to help me move stuff out of the room.  I already received the new desks and computers I ordered for my kids to put in there.  Tomorrow I will start moving the smaller stuff out of the room.

These challenges are making me stop procrastinating and actually accomplish stuff.  wow what a concept!  LOL

Eating has been at a 100% so far but the weekend is here.  I will just have to try my hardest to stay on top of it and not slip.  I have already modified some plans for the weekend to avoid temptations, ie. ice cream!

The weekend is always the hardest time to stay on track, that's why I've set my challenge up the way I have, so I can save up my snacks and have a little bit of a break on the weekend, but know that I still have to to stay on track so I do go too overboard - well that's the plan anyway - hopefully it works.....and yes ice cream is very hard to resist - which is why I've had some every day this week - oops...

I hear you on the butt and legs too - I can barely walk after my workout this morning, 5th day in a row.  I don't think I can keep that up long term. And do go to that class at the rec center, you know that you'll never regret it if you do go, but you will regret it if you don't go.

You've been so supportive in my and other threads, and you've been kicking much buttocks for the ALSO NOTs, that I had to swing by and say: Great Work.  Your challenge is awesome.  You'll rule the Con with your hard body and good attitude.  I'm so glad you are on my team.

whoa... ANIME COSPLAY GOAL?!! So great. My husband and I have talked about going to SanDiego for Comicon several times. It is not possible now because of money and jobs and stuff (*psshht.. stupid jobs). I would love to do that at some point... hopefully with a healthier body. =)

I also really love your write something positive goal!!

Great job on overlooking social anxiety to get to that class! Looking forward to week 2!

Also... as far as Attack on Titan is concerned.. I'm bummed that Mikasa isn't around anymore. I guess it has really only been one episode, but she is my favorite character! Otherwise I'm still loving it. Can't wait to get into that basement.

I grew up in CO. I miss it SO much. There's much to be done! I really miss the outdoors, hiking, etc. Living in Denver, you're so close to Red Rocks. That would be a most excellent work out! One goal of mine is to make it up to the amphitheater without having to stop (or have a stroke)! Last time I was there I thought I was going to DIE! Plus, the park has SUPER pretty hiking trails. I want to to do that, too.

Nice. I'm doing a Warrior Dash in November in a cow costume if I make my fundraising goal. I hope to moo all the way to the finish line.

GREAT job this week.

I too am kinda gently stretching and working out stiff muscles from the week.  I think I'm going to have to just walk today, do my weights, and count on housework and gardening to make up the difference.

Everyone here is soo awesome!  ty for the words of encouragement!

I sucked it up and went to the class.  I had fun but I know that class wasnt really for me.  All the people were super super nice!  I was still sore from my leg workout on Thursday (still am today too) so the lunges and squats and stuff in class really killed me!  I am going to switch my days so cardio is tues/thurs with the weight type stuff on mon/weds.  They had another class going at the rec center that I had already planned to go to next friday.  The trainer guy from that class came up and talked to me a bit while I was waiting on this class.  He was super nice, but I heard him yelling/pushing his class LOL.

Yesterday was super fun.  We were tourists around denver.  Went to Sleeping Giant in Sombrero, Tiny Town, Center of the World signs, Giant candle thing, Metal Cowboy and ended with Giant dog statue made out of dog tags, which was at an animal shelter so we checked out the animals.  Took everything I had to not bring home this supersupersuper cute boxer/lab puppy!  I already have 200lbs of dogs in my house (boxer and a dane) so we dont need more!

I am also proud of myself for being good with eating during this adventure. We stopped and ate at a bar food type place and I just stuck with a small salad.  I did come home and grub on some delish steaks and sweet potato!  YUM!

Stretch and work on room day ahead!  YIPEEE!

sounds like a great day around Denver, I love playing tourist no matter where I am.  Pretending you're on vacation is always a blast (almost as good ac actually being on vacation.....nahhh not quite).

Glad to hear you're already planning your next class, It's a pain trying to find the right class but once you find it you'll be set.

Totally know that feeling! My roommate and I found a house to rent and the landlord was trying to find her cat a good home (she's moving in with her father after he had a heart attack and he's allergic) . He was the sweetest little guy but that's the last thing I need right now.

Glad you're having fun trying out new classes. Sometimes if a trainer is nice I'll try a class they teach. One of the girls in my program teaches a bootcamp style class at the local YMCA and I completely love it but don't think I would with another teacher. All about finding the happy medium between challenging and comfortable.

Good going on a great first week!

I love doing the 'tourist in my own town' thing too. My hubby and I do anything and everything we can find that might yield good pictures - this past weekend we hit up the aquarium and beach boardwalk for a stroll. :)
