Caution
In college we had a life size cardboard captain Morgan. It was a lot of fun for screwing with drunk people. Put that thing in somebody's bathroom and wait for the screaming. If I would have had a life size NC the world would have bowed to me. We had a blown up picture of Jeff Goldblum using the campus' plotter on the inside of the stall door in our townhouse bathroom in college (yeah... how original) but the amount of drunk girls that would scream mid party made it worth it. Strawberry Squatcake
So, I thought if I decorated and turned my "throw stuff in and run away from room" into something functional, I'd get more organized. Now I leave stuff out in the dining room. So, that was a huge fail. At least that room had a door. Sigh. Strong Man!! Yippee! How exciting! And I'm so sad I am not ready for a GoRuck. Sounds like so much fun, but if I'm honest with myself, I'm not there in the cardio OR strength realm. Yet. Also... Is it appropriate for me to ask about a round shiny thing you mentioned last challenge? I thought that was happening on your trip. Am I crossing a bad social boundary? I feel like I am....... We had a blown up picture of Jeff Goldblum using the campus' plotter on the inside of the stall door in our townhouse bathroom in college (yeah... how original) but the amount of drunk girls that would scream mid party made it worth it. There is a good chance that sign is about to go up my offices bathroom. Nice goals, really seem on track for your strong man main quest. Good luck! And I will take a Trex burger too. Yeah my weird little room is mostly going to be packed up so when I move out of my apartment sometime in the next year it will already be done. You're probably better prepared for the Go Ruck than I am. I haven't run in at least three years, I haven't run more than a mile in probably seven years. concretecavewoman
I was going to clean up after cooking supper and saw my slab o beef in the fridge which reminded me to cook. I've got two other tubs of meat in my fridge that are cooked and just need eating now. I'm thinking spaghetti (squash) tonight. I converted my entire office to FP fans, with the exception of one girl, which is just further proof that she sucks at life. Yeah, I can only imagine what the day after some of those competitions must be like. I started out by pushing smaller vehicles. That seems logical to me. I even have an outside storage room, even it has a level of sanity to it. This room just got out of hand. I do still have my tent in the back, I think it's fine now, I'll probably pack it up this afternoon. Thank you! Hooray for car pushing! And hooray for strongman! This challenge is fantastic. I was doing some strongman training this month and had to push a car. Alas, I drive a mini cooper and none of my friends has a large car, so I guess I did the workout scaled. I was doing some strongman training this month and had to push a car. Alas, I drive a mini cooper and none of my friends has a large car, so I guess I did the workout scaled. How did the husafel stone turn out? Thank you! Yeah, I was talking to a buddy about pushing cars, we tend to push them by my office because the road is flat and straight and pretty deserted on Saturdays. And we have a fleet of vehicles out back of all sizes. I keep joking that I can upgrade vehicles when my truck gets too easy (which is no time soon) I haven't started on the husafell yet, it will probably be a Thursday afternoon project. So how did the slow cooker beef pepperoncini turn out for you? My wife was loving it, served it over mashed cauliflower with some sriracha. So freaking yum. Yeah, that stuff was pretty delicious, I had a pound of it with lunch, and a salad on the side. The mashed cauliflower and sriracha sounds like a good plan for the next meal of it. FireAndBlood
I ultimately want to complete a GoRuck. I'm looking at next year, and I'm really excited about it. I had a friend that observed, according to her the first two hours are super tough because that want to wear you down as much as possible, then it's pretty doable from there. Basically if you make it to the third hour you should be good for the whole thing. Another piece of motivation for me on this is that not many women attempt it, so of course I'm going to. Strawberry Squatcake
If nothing else, I'm always nosy over everything. But, as always, wish I hadn't asked. Hope no covers are blown. I'll think about the GoRuck. I've just recently started doing some sprint intervals, but my grandma hip STILL bothers me if I run much of a distance. I keep working on my ankle strength, because I think it ties back to that, but I can't seem to make much progress. I also think the weight compounds the issue. Maybe sans-dairy I'll start to see some weight loss. Anyway, I'll keep it in mind. IF I start losing some weight, running will come back and maybe I'll feel more prepared. But I feel more intimidated by pushups and that kind of stuff, honestly. Shape-Shifting Ginger Current Battle Log 2" washers for smaller weight increases Link to comment

But I feel more intimidated by pushups and that kind of stuff, honestly. I was wondering too But suspected. Do eeeeeet. Maybe Bigm, Cline or KW can correct me here but I'm pretty sure any running is more interval style and very little steady state... I read a lot of stuff that said "trot" and "jog". There will be timed stuff (get your entire team up those stairs in 1 min!) but that's more intervally. So, interval training is good... running, for endurance sake is good but not as necessary a component as it would be for a tough mudder or warrior dash type thing. Anyhow, I could be totally wrong.. and if so would love it someone corrected me but that's the general feeling I get from muh research. also, this is shaping up to be a bad ass meet up. Like Laura said, we're doing a GR Light, I'm putting a lot of faith in that "Light" part adding some naps in there somewhere. You can come push our F450-dually and we can put the truck camper on for additional weight. lol So far nobody has asked if we needed help, but we haven't pushed that often. There is an F-250 with some drilling equipment attached behind my office, that's probably a good step up from my F-150. MP did you see that video of wildross pushing his truck + camper?
