guest439437484421 Posted July 24, 2013 Report Share Posted July 24, 2013 Quest: Reduce my weight to 330 pounds (50 pound reduction) I don't wanna be this guy, so I'm aiming to lose the weight and the pack on some more muscle. Here's how I plan on doing it. SL 3x5 twice a week and cycling intervals once a week It's been a while since I've consistantly lifted. Fixing that, now, and doing cycling to aim a bit more for cardio and fat burn. I know that i'll have slower progress on the weights, but that's ok. Track my macros every day I haven't taken the time to exactly look at what I've been eating in a while. It's time to take a gander and see how I'm doing. So that I have a reference, I have determined "goals" from IIFYM:tdee: 3840calories: 3261fat: 149gprotein: 380gcarbs: 100g Remove liquid calories (excludes coffee, and one mocha a week) One of my arch nemesis have snuck back into my diet. I must eliminate these. Life quest:Survive going back to school 'Nuf said. Motivation (in progress?) To be the healthiest I can be so that I can be around as long as possible for those that love me. There are days when I feel like I'm nowhere close to my protein, and I'll actually only be a few g's off, other days I feel like I'm doing good and my carbs are nearly blown out by lunch. You're going super low carb. notice the "goals" IIFYM's uses carbs to fill out your remaining calories after protein and fat. if you don't have much left over, then it gives you a very low carb number. honestly i'm probably not going to stick with those numbers and will recalculate it when i have a better idea how my diet is doing. i just wanted numbers to compare where i was currently at. Decided to try adding whey protein into my bulletproof coffee. had a bit extra that wouldn't fit in the thermos, and had some extra time, so i poured the remaining into a mug and sat and enjoyed it. tasted pretty good. Until i got to the bottom of the cup. some of the whey separated out... and was rather disgusting. i might try it again, but adding the protein before the butter and oil. not sure though.
