Katinka
You *can* do those things at your current size! Maybe not as easily or as well as you want to, but I promise you that you are capable of all those things, simply because you have the motivation and desire to do them Also, if you don't have a wedding dress yet, know that the sizes run crazy small - most girls will buy a dress that is 2-3 sizes bigger than their street size. Also, having a dress tailored to the max for you will be an absolutely amazing experience - no matter what size you are, you'll feel like a million bucks in your wedding gown. Can't wait to follow your progress! Link to comment

I've realized that I can or will be able to do them and that is a great feeling. I grew up looking at the incline every day, and I always thought the people that climbed it, especially the nutters that RAN it, were absolutely bonkers. I cannot help support this idea enough......it's something that I literally repeat to myself every day. Trust me at 350+ lbs I started Brazilian Jiu Jitzu with the thought that I could never do it, I was wrong. I started using a 5K training app, and only 2 weeks in I have ran farther without stopping than I have in 10 years (not huge distances, but a win is a win no matter big or small) Plus, the looks on peoples faces when my behemoth body slowly chugs by them is worth every bit of push and discomfort! Katinka
Yay Chickie! I'm so excited for you! Something tells me this challenge is going to be *epic* for a lot of us! I learned to run with C25K, too. When I started, I went on a "run" to see how far I could go. I made it 1/4 mile and was dying. I didn't do it in quite 10 weeks, but I was definitely running a full 20 minutes by the end of the program (and if I had actually cared about what I was eating instead of stopping at 7-11 after every workout, I might have actually finished it on schedule, lol). Running is such a simple but POWERFUL thing to do - I hope you learn to love it as much as I do! Another tip - if you haven't invested in some good sneakers already, you'll want to by week 3. I always recommend anything by Ryka - they are amazing and fairly affordable (you can get them at DSW if you have one near you) Link to comment
