Just because I like to belabor the point.. Last night we had a girl test her DL after 3 months of not a ton of heavy pulling. She hadn't done any heavy singles since her last 1RM PR of 225 or even a lot of volume in the <5 range, just a lot of squatting and tech work on the main lifts. Last night she hit 310 with good speed but lost her back so we stopped. 

 

Yep, skwatz.

 

omg. i want to be this girl.

 

You know after pause squatting 6 days a week, Smolov sounds like a vacation. 

 

 

 

Sure! I weighed in at 212lbs this morning. I am fluctuating between 208 and 214 depending on how big my dinner is. I am also close to 16% body fat. 

why don't you put your money where your mouth is.

Speaking of food, there is a burger/beer garden joint I have been to that may have the tastiest sounding burger ever (I usually go for drinks not food). It is called the El Jefe. It is 1/3rd pound beef patty, topped with sliced brisket,bacon, jack and swiss cheese. 

 

Now does not that sound tempting?May have to investigate this week.

I'll have the brisket one and Wifey will have the fried pickle one.

Speaking of 1/3 lb patties, I grilled 6 up while grilling chicken for burritos tonight for Thursday's and Friday's lunches. I love grilling after work with a beer.

How much for that room again? That sounds divine.

 

:D It's a great  place to sit and relax. Especially in early summer/fall. They have a nice patio

 

I want to come....

Morning workout Day C: (also known as light days) 
 
Front Squat to Push Jerk- 4x3 @115
Good mornings - 3x8@115
OHP - 3x8@90
Back ext - 2x20 
Knee raises - 20 (forgot to do the second set) 
 
Not bad. Tomorrow is my official rest day. CF is having snatch balance and overhead squat day so I'll probably go do that. 
 
And now for some rant-y food related stuff hence the spoiler tags below:

 

For dinner last night I ate 1.36lbs of ground pork, 0.5lbs of veggies, 4oz of guac (in a stir fry), then a pint of Talenti Gellato and a bottle of wine. Woke up this morning down 1 lbs from yesterday. WTS body, I am trying to feed you so you get bigger!

So as not to ruin your spoiler:

 

I would say I hate you and your hard-gainer boy hormones but I've had pizza and gelato for dinner and been down two pounds the next day. Chalk it up to weight fluctuations but if it seems to be a trend, eat even more!

I went to CF box to train with the oly class (I usually am off to the side, but I still talk to the peeps during rest periods)

 

This morning it was me doing my own thing and three females lifting heavy. No other males. I like this.

if we weren't hanging out in austin, i might say we aren't friends anymore. gelato. a pint! hrmf.
