Happy Hunger Games to you all.

About me: I love to play video games, and I love the outdoors. I am 31, I live in Canada, and I work with kids teaching them things about the outdoors.

This is my first real challenge.

Main quest: I am looking to lose inches, I am trying for a size 14 by fall.

Challenges I face (Or why I make excuses): I don't have enough time in my day to exercise, my injury sometimes prevents me from doing so, and I don't take in enough calories or water.

Hello!  I've signed up as well -- would love to rep District 12 if you'll have me!

I'm likewise in the early 30's range, and this is -- obviously -- my first challenge.  I work an office job that often eats my soul (or, at least, all of the hours in my day) and makes it difficult to get outside as much as I would like.  My current main quest is to remain dedicated to fitness in the face of that particular challenge.

I'd love to have the support of others from the District as I jump into it, and I look forward to helping my teammates along. The fewer times the cannon fires, the better.

Hello team! So glad to be here for District 12! I am 25 and in my first year out of school and in a desk job and it's taking it's toll alarmingly quickly! My main quest is to fit back into my favorite pair of jeans.

My three missions this challenge are to eat in a specific calorie range every day, do some form of workout five days a week, and to read motivational material every day, with a side quest of cutting back on smoking.

I attempted the last challenge here on NF but only lasted about two weeks before I gave up, so I'm looking to kick this one in the arse! Woot! Go team!

Welcome to Rubbish_Tiger and TheHalfie, I am glad you are on our team helping us to be badass!

Now that we have our team rounded out, things we should do:

Befriend your teammates and follow their challenge posts! This way it is easier to support each other.

Follow this topic! With so many teams it will be harder to sift through the forum unless you are following.

Check in here often, especially if it a hard day. We want to hear from you and support you.

We will do weekly check-ins! Be sure to be active to make this group a success.

... watch The Hunger Games this week sometime and become motivated. If they can survive, so can we.

Many groups have more success if they are on social media like facebook or twitter, what do you guys think about that?

Woo! A team!

Sweet Pea -- I hear you on the toll the desk job takes. Keeping active takes a new sort of mindset, fitting it in when you can. I've been at it going on four years with varying success (which is to say, periods when I have fit those jeans and periods where I have despaired of doing so). Glad to have a fellow desk jockey along for the ride.

Re: social media...I'm not too keen on Facebook, but would give twitter a go if folks want to connect that route.

With you on the deskjob as well. I got a fitbit and I realized that on the days that I don't work out that I barely move. For example goal is 10,000 steps if I don't make an effort to get more steps in it's somewhere between 4,000 and 5,000.

Hello I thought I'd post the link to my introduction story and I've friended everyone and following your challenge threads. I updated my signature to include mine. Rubbish Tiger I need to find yours still though.

I'm game for either.

I don't really use social media... a little light facebooking here and there, is all. Curious, what do you guys thing of Team signature? Maybe something similar to Spoonymog's avatar?

I think a signature would be fun.

I adore my FitBit. I'm a total stat junkie.  And I hear you on the needing to step it up -- I find I get about the same (4k-5k) unless I get a workout in.

Howdy all,

I just signed up for the challenge and this team. I just completed my B.S. degree and am on the hunt for a job that pays enough for me to pay off some debt and be financially independent. That means with all this down time and extra energy I have no excuses for getting back into shape. I haven't been down to 175 since Air Force Basic Training, but was fitter after leaving the service than while I was in, but after 2010 I let classes get the best of me and it's time to change that.

I'm off to run and get started on my goals. I look forward to meeting you all and wish you a nice evening.

Woot! Just joined this group and so excited! *bounces around*

Hehe sorry.

Anyhow, Hello! I'm Jazzy, 24, and badly out of shape. I'm working on my degree and almost feel bad being the biggest one in my fashion classes, lol.

So looking forward to this challenge and being apart of this group!

Hey all,

No more excuses. I am the KING of starting something and killing it for 2 weeks only to be derailed by a single transgression. I need your help to stay on track. I just cannot do it alone.

See you in the trenches,

C.

Hey! I posted in the woot room about my second time lifting, and in it I called myself the Qeen of doing things once, then never again. Interesting! LEt's make it different this time.

Hello District 12.  This is my first go-around with the challenge, but I'm looking forward to beasting-out, getting ripped and quietly reading (A girl needs some well rounded goals.  They can't all be about squats and deadlifts!)

Have a great start to the challenge everyone!  May the odds be ever in your favor!

Didn't know if I could start another column on the spreadsheet or I would've joined earlier.  But I'm a huge Hunger Games fan and this group sounded like a great place for me.  This is my first time really being on NF and definitely my first challenge.  I started my weight loss journey just over a year ago and so far have lost 30 pounds.  My goal was 50-60 and somewhere in the last few months I have completely lost my drive.  I'm really hoping this group and this challenge can help. :)

My quest: Lose 20-30 pounds

My 3 missions: 1. Log my food & calories every day, 2. Take a weight class or do weights 3 times per week, 3. Cut down on sweets. 1 x per week max, preferably 0.

My motivation: I want to be a good, healthy role model for my kids.  My 25 year reunion is next year and I want to drop some jaws! :)

I'm really looking forward to this challenge & getting to know everyone!
