I was going to wait until later to post but then the temptation has already begun.

 

One goal to support all goals! 6 weeks without sugar. For I am sure the first time in my whole life. How I plan to do this! Well will power will be needed. Every ounce I can muster. And leaving my credit cards and money at home because yeah then I can't buy crap. I will also have a penalty goal if I drop below 50 precent. 50 dollars to husband. Under 25 percent 100 dollars to husband. Victory goals 1 week straight - lock picks :) Every week after that will be Games!!! First game battlestar G board game. It is a pvp board game. Plus I will get a group togather to play each new game with me :)

 

::The dawn rises on a new challenge. The little sugar beasties are peaking around the coffee put. Me dumps a glass of water on them then goes to the crying child.::

That's quite a challenge you got there, impressive!

I think you have all the information you're supposed to have, have you looked at the new rules? It has changed somewhat since last challenge.

What is your major motivation ?

I have chosen to believe in myself.

Awesome!!! I think it's great you are focusing on one specific thing, and really doing it well. I'm doing a 3-week sugar detox as part of my challenge, starting on Monday-- we can keep each other positive!

I have not looked at the new rules. I will have to but not now (I should be working )

 

THis has been going great! My body has been giving me great feedback! Any time I eat large amount of sugar I feel sick and slugish but without it I have alot of energy. I even have the energy to keep up with my schedule the way it is. Wake up 4:30 work to 2 play with kids go to bed hopefully around 8 and repeat. With the nursing and everything my energy was tanked. It turned out to really be because of the sugar. Yeppie!

 

So I have gotten down to have very little sugar each day. Friday I did not have any. I had a headache at first but now I got a headache yesterday when I had a mocha.. I also felt sick and got really sleepy from it to. I guess my body was really really ready for this change. I also realized how much sugar is in BBQ sauce I guess I will have to wash off anything my step dad grills.

 

I am not worring about sugar that is added to things so much right now as long as it is not a cake or candy type thing. My gronola I will keep to because there is only 5 grams for a 3rd of a cup and I use less the half of that then that anyways and it is a nice breakfast with all the berries and yogurt.

 

So what I realized is while my main challenge is to cut all sweets and crap like sugar in coffee(I need to go back to being a non coffee drinker again soon) and such. This will also include learning more about what is in the different foods I eat and cutting it out there as well. I think shooting for no sugar a day wil get me under the 50 grams a day that you are "allowed" by far. I am not sure I can get to 0 since I don't cook all of my own food. 

 

Oh and my weight has been dropping again which is easy to do when nursing. 600 calories a day :) It has not been dropping to fast which is good as well. My babies also seems less gassy which is AWESOME. because that tiny little thing can have some seriously stinky farts....

 

So anyways I have recieve so much positive benefits from just one week of trying that I think I will be able to keep this up! SSSSSOOOO happy since I have had a sugar issue my whole life. OH OH OH and my hyperactivity is gone when I am at work. So I am even working better and I am no longer annoying the crap out of my co-workers!!!! it is like I am in control of my whole body. It sucked kinda knowing that sugar was causing me issues but not having the courage to cut is before. I am SOOO glad I did this.

Quick check in. I have had a few days where I kinda feel of the wagon. Something about free cookies.......

But over all I am doing very well. While I am still about 30 percent on having full days without sugar at all my consumption is down to an event instead mindlessly through out the day. Example I went to a friends house and we walked to the ice cream place and got me and my girl an ice cream and I ate some. I also need to work on my ability to say no :) Ho well this is an interesting learning exprience.

 

I also found an interesting game. Mindbloom. It tracks goals and uses the completation of those goal to maintain a tree. I put all of my goals in there which is quite a few but I am only really working on the goals that work for the no sugar thing. If I complete a non-quest goal then yeppie more water but if I miss it I really don't care.

 

List of goals for no sugar

Drink two "cups" of water at work (Huge plastic cup thing with straw)

Bring food to work

Drinking coffee (with alot of milk) or tea instead of eating sugar. I do this if I am craving sugar at work. I pretty much only drink herbal teas so it gives you the sweet without sugar (that I am aware of)

 

Maybe I should start doing something when I am not at work to keep on track. I have issues when I go out with people and there are cookies or offers of ice cream. Any suggestions of something I can do to hold off on these? Though the only thing I can think of is putting on my big kid pants and just saying no.

Still going on this. I have not updated in a few but so far have done over a week and a half successfully other then one drink last sunday. I keep forgetting about the no booze thing which is funny because I don't drink but I have been crazy acholoh more since I am not eating sugar. Tricky tricky little brain :)

I am! I did not do the best over the weekend but I have been going strong since. It is also nice that me missing a day would be having a little bit of something instead of a lot of it before. Such as I went to a festival and had two chocolate covered peaches (slices) because who could pass that up. I am counting that whole day as a miss but really in the beginning going to a festival and only eating that much sugar is a pretty big win for me. :)

Well I did really well on this. Better then I thought I would that is for sure. :) I am much better at the by passing sugar thing though there will be room for improvement for sure. I will continue to track this because I would like to do a full 30 day streak. The furthest strech I did was 11 days. Over All I scored a 90 percent on this. ANd I did get a drinking water habit for sure in the morning. I also lost around 7 pounds. I will even get stats this time.
