Endor
Subbing... Cutting sugar and dropping weight go hand in hand and I'm on the no sugar wagon this challenge too. Snacking accountability group here if you are interested Does the crossfit count as the 30 min cardio or is that extra? Glad to have you back Crossfit is extra- Crossfit workouts are intense but short, 20 - 30 minutes. Goal is to get back the habit I used to have of a 30 minute bout of rowing, fast walking or biking almost every day. I could handle XFit a few times a week on top of that. Thanks for the snacking group- I will definitely check it out. Despite being so absent recently, I have been making great progress on the snacking...I have house company for a few days, but will head over to your thread very soon- promise! beginning Ranger STR10, DEX2, STA6, CON6, WIS10, CHA1 "What lies before you, what lies behind you, is nothing to what lies within you" Lenni-Lenape saying battle log http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34950-honeysuckle-weathers-the-storm challenge 5 thread http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34211-honeysuckle leaves the nest/snacking support group http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/33057-were-not-cookie-monsters/ http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/47613-seasoned-newbie/?p=1001194 Link to comment

shrinkingviolet
Hi Honeysuckle! I'm so glad you're one of my accountibilibuddies! Hopefully you can give me some tips with my crossfit..and recovery! I've never been to a class and plan to go to my first tonight with the intention of signing up for two months. I'm not gonna lie, I'm started to get nervous! My friend said that the WOD involved handstands and other upper body stuff. :/ I can do this! Good luck with eating clean with company. Having to eat with other people that are not has been the hardest part of my transitioning into Paleo. Kudos to you! honeysuckle
whoa- let me know how XFit goes for you. I went years ago, got a meniscus tear, then quit...only now (like, 10 years later) have I had the courage to return. And now, I am way off the age curve for many of the activities and feel kind of goofy in the classes. I have to do work arounds for all the jumping, and could truly win the award for the slowest runner in the history of sports. So, I hit the rower (which I love) and am great at the core stuff. What I really want out of it is to be forced to sweat hard for 30 minutes and to build upper body strength. I am still working toward a pullup. Watch out on the handstands. Make sure they spot you and don't push you into anything that seems unsafe- tough on the shoulders and of course dangerous if you fall on an uncushioned surface. I have summer camp this week and I always have trouble getting to post much during these weeks. My sugar challenge is going well, in my terms, anyway. Much less, not zero. Same for carbs. The XFit crew eats like spartans, and I sort of just don't want to. Carry on. beginning Ranger STR10, DEX2, STA6, CON6, WIS10, CHA1 "What lies before you, what lies behind you, is nothing to what lies within you" Lenni-Lenape saying battle log http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34950-honeysuckle-weathers-the-storm challenge 5 thread http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/34211-honeysuckle leaves the nest/snacking support group http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/33057-were-not-cookie-monsters/ http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/47613-seasoned-newbie/?p=1001194 Link to comment

shrinkingviolet
Hi there! Thanks for the tips! How did camp go? I had a summer camp during the last week of my first challenge and found it quite a challenge to keep from eating sweets and carbs. I hope you did well! I can't wait to hear how week three went!
