The Mighty Adventuring Companions welcomes everyone! Goal is simple better yourself one step at a time. To Teach each other, support each other, and have fun with each other while trying to achieve our goals. Figured I'd step up a group since there seemed to be a need for one. Come and join me!

Alright so Can't believe I forgot this part but how are we going to get together and keep each other accountable?

I have email, Skype, Facebook and Twitter? Could probably reactivate my Google + too. Here on the thread? I'm excited to do this!

 I thought that this would be an interesting group because we've all got some artistic stuff going.  Well, there are drawbacks to having a "veteran" on your team.  I don't FB, google+, skype, or tweet.  I have a FitBit, but no friends.  I have MFP, but no friends.  I do have email.  I will check in here and with the rest of the gang.

WELCOME WILDONION!

 

Hey checking in here. Have a crazy week ahead with final 3 classes of Spanish 2. which means I got homework and afinal project to think about. have to take a test tonight or tomorrow as well.. plus work So a bit stressed. Diet's been ok. still been consistantly under and workedout with a Body weight workout yesterday and I think I'll be able to check in Daily. I'll message you all my email so if I dont check in you guys can hound me. laurel I wasn't implying age either :P I meant you've conquered 6 challenges already! thats something!

Hey Companions!  Hope all of you are finishing up the first week feeling mighty mighty!

 

I had a pretty successful week, and I am getting prepared for the next one.  Kitchen stocked with whole foods...check.  Workout clothes washed...check. Book in backpack...check.  Attitude positive...extra double super check!

 

I am switching from Sparkpeople to MyFitnessPal for my food and exercise tracking today.  I'm bigwildonion over there too.

I did pretty well for the first week - on target for all my goals.  I've got a nice pork roast and some yams that I'll crock pot tomorrow; so I'll be good for meals for a few days. 

 

I've never actually caught more than 1 or 2 random Dr Who episodes and never actually figured out what was going on.  Someone tell me a good point to start & I'll toss some on my NetFlix queue.

Wild! I added you on MFP. start from the beginning i guess? I started watching Dr. who because I was on a summer vacation and it was right after some show I was enjoying at the time and after watching 2 or 3 shows (I dont remember which) I get extremely hooked. I really "should" watch the ones with david tennenbaum in order some time.. anyways...

 

My check in. first week done. It went okay. Not perfection but not bad. I did complete my goals so that is a good thing. Did have a minor mental freak out thursday and have been thinking about how I'll be able to handle my stress better once school starts (and basically in general) My water consumption though not a goal has been going great 8-11 glasses a day. Though the consequence of that is annoying lol.

 

glad you guys are both doing okay! I'm going over my boyfriends house tomorrow so I'm going to need to pack some veggies to snack on, and some cereal or something for the just in case there is nothing healthy over there. Oh totally side note I took one spanish test got a 92 and think I finished my first draft of my spanish presentation!

Great job on the exam Doodle. 

 

Not a bad week for me either. Looking forward to my first complete week now. This was when my previous challenge really got going, so I'm feeling pretty good.

Hi, is it too late for a new member? I just started three days ago and I'm still trying to get the hang of this. I need friends.

 

My main goal is building strength and functional mobility (I'm 30 but feel like I have the body of an old person.) I've been eating (mostly) clean for about three months and I try to limit my sugar intake. Yesterday I celebrated my 8 month fitness anniversary - doing daily cross-fit style activities with help from a virtual coach - my coach is an old buddy with a lot of expertise. He sends me daily workouts and videos and I'm expected to do them No Matter What. Forcing myself to work out every day, rain or shine, sickness or health, has been really transformational.

 

I'd also like to lose fat, again, mostly for strength and mobility reasons. Now that I am really into fitness I feel like my fat is holding me back from excelling at my workouts. It's also putting undue strain on my knees and back.

 

So this is mostly for health, not vanity.

 

Laureleye for Doctor Who, I recommend starting with the new Who (I think it was around 2006.) You can find it on Netflix Instant. You'll breeze through Christopher Eccleston and then you'll fall in love with David Tennant (platonically or romantically; your choice.)

 

Doodle, am I correct that you're studying Spanish? My B.A. is in Spanish. What are your plans post-graduation? I went into social work.

Certified- I have been taking spanish 1 and 2 for the past 10 weeks last class is thursday! but my major is graphic design. in spring I'm graduating with my BA in information design (aka graphic design). I'd love to be a graphic designer. I love your goals!

 

Phutomaki- More then welcome what are your goals?

 

Wild- count me as a Knitter crocheter as well! I also watch futurama but thats more because its on and nothing else is. my boyfriend watches it pretty consistantly!

 

update: Finished my powerpoint presentation today so All that's left is 8 more homework assignments and a test before I'm done woohoo! Eating and doing my diary has been going well haven't exercised this week yet but tomorrow I will seeing as I work at the very least. 

 

I'll follow you. we have keeping each other accountable by checking in everyday. With a back up method of Email.

yea! I'm right on top. Had a buffalo chicken wrap with a salad instead of fries and coleslaw. then went over to my cousins and ended up having a small slice of cake but only ate a .25 of it. AND still came under calories. huh.

Well, I got in almost 15,000 steps yesterday...then twisted my knee slightly this morning at the train station.  I've skipped most of my usual stairs, and intend to take it easy on my lunges and squats tonight.  With a rest day tomorrow I should be okay.  I'll take it easy as needed on Sunday.

glad we are all doing okay even with the little bumps in the road! I'm doing okay still solidly in the A catergory. Oh and guess what even with the bumps I still managed to lose 8 pounds when i weighed in this week. I checked it like 5 times to make sure. I dont believe it. but either way keep up the good work!
