Mini-Quest: Great Druid Book of Yoga Poses

Great Druid Book of Yoga Poses:

 

We have a colaborative project during this challenge. You can participate by entering your favourite yoga poses and sequences in The Great Druid Book of Yoga Poses.
 
Your entries must include at least 1 link to a site describing how to do the pose. If you also link to a good video for the pose even better! 
 
You can enter as many poses or sequences as you like. The only rule is that you must be capable of actually doing the pose! 
 
If you have added 6 poses or sequences to The Great Druid Book of Yoga Poses you can award yourself a +1 wisdom attribute point.
 
The list can then be used as a reference and will continue to be available for future challenges. :)
 
For added fun, you can post a picture of yourself doing one of the yoga poses to this topic (optional!)
 
Lets see how many poses we know as a guild! 
 
 
 
For those Druids that don't practice yoga (and yes, there are also good Druids that don't do yoga!): This is your chance to get a bit of an insight into what poses exist.  :)

So I will be using Link #1 field for my own pics or videos of poses.   Link 2 is always a female, and link 3 is always a male in each pose to stir it up between the sexes.   Will fill in more descriptions in a bitty.

I'm considering doing this if only for comic relief.

I updated the one for "Warrior Pose" to read "Warrior I Pose" being that there are 2 more that have not been listed yet.     I can hear my teacher now.  "Now breath into those strong warrior legs as they hold you up, these look great!"

I'm new to yoga, so they're all pretty basic.

I'm not new to yoga, but mine are all still very basic.. the basics can still make me feel great afterwards (not always during :)

 

I can hear my teacher now.  "Now breath into those strong warrior legs as they hold you up, these look great!" 

And I can hear mine now, about Warrior 2:  "Let your arms down slowly, and do not flop."  Many basic moves are harder than they look.

OMG.

Well, during the summer in the summer house I usually come here (NF) on my phone. I didn't have a chance to upload or check anything in this area yet but just did on a stationary computer. There is some great stuff here!!! Great work all, end keep'em coming!

Does anybody know of any obscure pose where you stand with your back against the wall?

This is a long shot, kind of off the wall (ha) but I've googled about it in vain so far.

During warmup at very first yoga class I took 20+ years ago, the instructor had us stand against the wall and do movements which seemed simple, but I could feel the stretch.

One movement (I doubt it's an entire asana but might be part of one?) was to press your body backwards into the wall -- like flatten the palm against the wall, then flatten your entire arm -- eliminating that natural hollow at the wrist.
