Adding people will not help as much as you think it would, it may even hurt. The people already working on it now have to stop working and get the other people caught up to speed and there is overhead of multiple people working on things and coordinating it and its a huge nightmare. I understand that you guys want to get it right the first time around, because it's a PITA to change it once you have live data, but some sort of update would be nice.
