Hey all, new virtual competition is up! Sorry it's late, life has been chaos lately (yeah, I know, excuse getting old).

I really, really miss doing these. Maybe I can win my titles back after my recovery. Best of luck, fellow Warriors!

Do you guys have any ideas for minis you would like to see coming up?

For reference the past few have been:

50/50 squats

40/40 bench

deadlifts for volume

meal prep

I was thinking the of "skipping leg day" (bench + curls) but I'm open to any other suggestions! Most of them looking back have been crossfit WOD style, so a certain time and do AMRAP of movements, or do a workout and try for AFAP. Thinking about maybe doing something with Oly or Strongman? But may need some help there.

No idea what to do for minis, but I did hear something amusing at work last week that I thought I'd share with you all :P

The newly elected president of Mongolia is a straight up warrior. Apparently reddit is calling him "Gaingis Kahn" and I could not stop laughing about it for days :P

Love the bro day idea (or Oly - but I don't know if everyone has easy access to bumpers and an oly-lifting friendly gym).

Something related to baking or cooking in some fashion, maybe drawing inspiration from Chopped, Great British Bake Off, or any other popular show. Something I floated when chatting with @Laghail somewhere was the idea of hitting a set macro breakdown with a meal rather than using specific ingredients (to make it more warrior-esque).

Some of us warriors had an idea but haven't had time to carry it out.

We wanted to do a mini where you lift something that is not a traditional weight and then post a picture or video. Like when people squat their friend, etc. I believe this was @Emerald_Dragonfly's brain child, so i want to give credit where credit is due because it is an awesome idea.

Camera shy folks could crop to omit their face.

I have a bunch of off-the-wall ideas, but they are just ideas, not fully fleshed-out...

1.  Non-traditional lifting - the original thought was to celebrate by lifting something that I couldn't have before.  (Look how strong being a Warrior has made me!)  So maybe squat a 50 pound bag of chicken feed, OHP a concrete block, curl your toddler, deadlift your partner, whatever! :-)  (Safety first, obvi!) I thought that was fun and kinda warrior-centric.

2.  Adopt a newb!  Everyone make an effort to escort a newb through their first challenge - either here or in another guild.

3.  Cardio - choose a new form of cardio and report back on how it impacted your lifting.  Lots of us feel like we *should* cardio but nothing appeals.  This might generate some group think toward getting us moving.  The mini-challenge might be something like try a new cardio each week and tell us about it?  The advanced might be sprint work or tabata or sleds or something.    Bonus points for video or pics!

4.  Accessorize!  Try a new accessory each week and report back.  (What can we do besides curl?  Blasphemy, I know, but seriously...what?)  Bonus points for video, but not required, obvi.  Mini could lay out specifics - week 1 = shoulders, week 2 = biceps and triceps, etc.

5.  Circuits!  Different BB circuits to try - if you want the "compete against yourself" vibe, make them EMOM or some kind of time limit...

I LOVE the mini challenges - you guys do a great job with them.  These ideas are all quite different, so of course they are not offered as a replacement, but only as a supplement.  :-)

These are the type of ideas that will become mini challenges...

I'm a fan of the cardio one, if it includes things that are slightly more warrior-esque, like say, barbell complexes, etc.

Always with the jifs @Emerald_Dragonfly

A barbell complex mini sounds hella fun. Maybe a design your-own-complex challenge, then customize weight and rep scheme and try variations? Not sure how to gamify that, but with this crowd, we already would find that fun.

I really hope I'm not the only one who totally read this as like hair bands, necklace, bracelet, sweet new belt etc. hahaha

but all of those others sounds sweet! The lifting unusual stuff one is amusing, since I get to do that at work all the time, and I broke a pointless personal best with this today but deadlifting 3 cases of tomatoes because I was too stubborn to take the top one off :P
