Tateman
I love seeing that my pant size has gone down I also have my fattest jeans around to have for future comparison. I also still wear the belt I had back then too. It has notches thought so I can keep using it. I can just tell how long the extra bit is now Tateland.com, Instagram, Fitbit Link to comment

Laureleye
Ok, so I've taken a bit of a breather. I was writing that soon after getting out of the meeting. 1) There really isn't another option unless I want to make a 2+ hour drive TO and FROM school every day- leading to 12+ hour days at a uni that costs more. 2) I've been mulling over how they accept people in, and it's based on a rubrick- you earn points for your gpa, your essay, your reference letters, etc. So I've decided that I'm just going to overcompansate and write the BEST ESSAY EVER. My GPA going into this is like a 3.8 or 3.9. Not sure- I only screwed up a little in 2 classes. The letters should be bosses and coworkers but NOT friends. So I think I'm going back to my old stomping ground and seeing if I can get a letter from a teacher that I really liked and I talked to. It's been over a year so hopefully he'll remember me well enough *crosses fingers* 3) While I get this teacher's recoommendation, I've decided that I'm going to petition the creation of a MSW program at my other school. I got my Bach. in psych from there, but they don't have a MSW program. Why? They have a Ph.D in psych but not social work? I mean- it's still upper-level social sciences. Some of the teachers are qualified to teach/do both ANYWAY. Lets do this, people! So I'm going to break down the facts with this teacher and do everything in my power to start a program there. The only school in town gets 150 letters for MSW, and they shoot down 110 of them. What happens to those 110? Well, duh, they could go to the NEW program I hope to start up. 4) If these things fail and I get a rejection letter, you get a chance to arrange a meeting. Well, in that meeting I will pour my heart and soul into this. I'm not getting rejected without a damn fight. YOU HEAR ME!? 5) Lastly, if everything out of everything fails- I will look into the Ph.D program in psychology, or a teaching degree, or a management degree at work. (Llisted in order of preference).Swinging a sledge-hammer at life too...I am in awe. Congratulations on dropping that 1/2 size. Amandaba
Obviously- no chinese for me. I made some american chop suey, a chicken breast, and some grapes. My friend? He went to get some himself and brought it back over and ate it. Wanted to punch him in the face and take all the beef sticks. I held up. Today, after I decided on my school plan, I did my workout. I went all-out beast mode. Maybe it's the whole30 finally kicking in some energy, or maybe it's just frustrations being channeled into bada** fuel. I did:Glad to hear you've got you're fire back, ya had us worried! Also I HATE it when people do stuff like that. I see it at the hospital a lot. Poor patient can't eat ANYTHING or only get like juice and jello and their family goes out, gets Burger King or pizza, comes back and eats in RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR LOVED ONE! So rude and cruel. And I love pouring frustrations into workouts (my playlist is pretty angsty and I glare into the mirror the whole time) YAY FOR SMALLER PANTS!!! Teros
Haven't been on that much with work and such. I'll write more tomorrow. I'm still sticking with the whole 30. OH! and I finally fixed that mayo. We had BLTs today. Ripped giant lettuce leaves and used those for bread. Overall the mayo was pretty good. Didn't notice a difference in flavor compared to when I last had regular mayo. Once I use it up, I'll probably try experimenting with garlic mayo or some sort of spicey type. Link to comment

Congrats for lowering that size pant. It's almost a daily improvement, you're doing so great, and it seems that Whole 30 is a good plan. I've been reading more the last week and I'm feeling more interested on it. If I wouldn't live with my parents, I'll try for the next challenge. It's a very smart way to eat. Teros
Ok, update time. Been a bit groggy and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just seasonal allergys kicking in or something. (I hate you ragweed...and dust...and long cat hair...) Ok, I'm on.... DAY 19- Where is it? So I'm supposed to have Tiger's Blood right now. I'm a bit discouraged. A few days ago, it felt like my body was clicking. I was getting bursts of energy and would karate chop random things around the house, or sprint to the car. Now? Meh. I just feel slightly better than normal, and like I just said- a bit groggy. Homemade mayo was super easy. It's just 1 cup of light-tasting olive oil, juice from half a lemon, and 1 egg. It's much easier to use an immersion blender to make it. Originally I just put everything together and whipped it up and it just looked kind of watery and filmy. I added another egg yolk into it and whipped it again slowly- worked perfectly. I had a feast of BLTs that night. ate 2 tomatos, almost a whole head of lettuce, and a pack of bacon with some homemade mayo. Once it runs out, I want to try putting a little garlic or onion powder in it to see how it goes. It tastes JUST like regular mayo, but that means it's a bit bland so I want to spice it up in the near future. Ok, so good news on the school front. Talked to the teacher that I wasn't sure about getting a letter of recommendation from. It was 2 years ago so I figured he wouldn't remember me and my g/f. He does AND he said "It was a delight to teach with you". OH YEAH. Who's getting an awesome letter of recommendation? THIS GUY. 1 down, 2 more to go. I'll be asking my boss next week when I go in and the last one is going to be from my brother-in-law, who I also worked with. Also, tommorrow I should be going to Lowes to get my supplies cut to start making that hutch. I'm not sure about posting pics of myself. I still kind of hate myself. I have a feeling a pic might be leaked from meeting up with Ravnos at King Richard's Faire. Next pants size I think I will do a side-by-side comparison of what I USED to wear and what I do wear though. Now just need to get my workouts and stretching in and I should be right on track. Tiger's Blood phase- I NEED YOU. Link to comment

Tateman
Yeah, I don't recall having the super tiger blood phase really, but those last couple of weeks during the last challenge I think it hit then. Good news on the schooling front. As for pictures, it's really up to you. Last challenge at the end I decided to just go for it. I still hate myself too and the way I look, but I could actually see a difference last time. That helped me a little. Tateland.com, Instagram, Fitbit Link to comment
Teros
So I finally did my stretching. A few hurt, a few don't really feel anything, and a few really help. I might have to pick and choose from some other sources to get a good balance. Afterwards, I was putting it off, putting it off, "I just stretched and now I'm tired. I need to rest." But I slapped myself out of it. I'm working out now too damnit! I decided this time to alternate between my tire-ups and my weighted crunches. Either that was the best decision EVER or something is happening to me: 25 x 2 Gravediggers25 x 2 Butter Churn25 x 2 Chop Wood20 x 2 Killswitch10 Tire ups (ok good start)10 Very weighted crunches (25 lbs. Today, I did 20 straight reps- rest 10 seconds- did 5 more reps. That's an extra 25% workout when you look at it. I've been doing weighted incline crunches with a 12 pound weight that I hold on my chest. Today? I decided to double it and do about 24 pounds on my chest for 15 reps.-----WHAT HAPPENED? Teros
DAY 21 - Still Unsure I had a long conversation with my g/f about the whole 30. Only 9 days left and according to that little chart, I'm supposed to already be in tiger's blood phase and I'm supposed to be really sick of food. Well, my workout was pretty beast-mode, but I don't have this joyous feeling that most people seem to have. I read a bunch on the whole 30 facebook page and at like day 15, people feel magical or something. I kind of just feel like me, but wanting a pizza. I've noticed that my appetite is virtually gone. Compares that to day 6 of this where I was ravenous and could eat a horse. I'm not sure if it's just because I'm sick of the food, or if my stomach seriously shank during this. For example, this morning I had 4 prunes and then at 1pm I had 2 porkchops, 2 chicken sausages, and 1 1/2 cans of green beans. Nothing else today. It's almost 8pm and I think I might have some cashews before bed and that's it. Link to comment
