Abtacha...and the treasure hunt continues!

My first challenge was rather successful fitness wise. So I decided to focus more on the diet side of things this time around. Last time I tried to follow a set eating schedule (breakfast, lunch, dinner, no snacking) and because I didn't factor in my exercises I had to force down my breakfast and ended up binging around five pm. The binging was all paleo (mostly treats, though) so it could have been worse but I don't want to get into unhealthy behaviors.

Anyways, long story short....

My ultimate goal hasn't changed...

I Want To Be The Best Me I Can Possibly Be

Main Quest:

Still working on the TWO CONSECUTIVE PULL-UPS from last challenge

TEN REAL PUSH-UPS

I basically see these first couple of challenges as basics camp. Once I have those basic movements down I'll work on more complex things.

Supportive goals:

- BBWW at least 3x per week

- stretching, Pilates, yoga, ballet (something along these lines) for 30min or more at least 2x per week

- follow the AI-Protocol of the Paleo diet (no certain times or amounts to eat just what is being restricted)

I did the BBWW for the last challenge as well and I'm not done with it!

Instead of cardio I'm going to do some stretchy stuff because I'm stiff like a stone. (Want to be more like a tree in the wind)

On top of the AI-Protocol I'll have to leave out most FODMAPs. With this restricted diet I hope to heal my gut so that I can include more food without having irritable skin, IBS, joint pains, headaches....and the list goes on and on. I hope to stave of any cravings by not restricting the amount or the times. I just basically want to create a clean slate with this challenge so that I can find out afterwards what I really can't have and what's okay to have occasionally.

Life goal:

I want to be in bed by 10pm. Which means turning the tv of by 9:30pm. Once or twice a week I can stay up until 11pm (date night).

Lately I went to bed later and later which makes me late in the mornings, I have to shorten my workouts and makes me grumpy all day. So...earlier to bed it is!

:o I haven't sent my comment! How did that happen, I know I typed it up. Ah well, here we go again :D

Going to bed early really worked for me, which is why I'm keeping it up in the next challenge. I'm so much more energized and happy! In fact, when I get up early I'm so hyped up that I have to do something or I'll explode!

Just trying to get back on my feet. :)

First day of the challenge was great!

I didn't do any exercise (ok not so great) because of my brother's birthday Party. But since I did the BBWW on Sunday I think I'm good.

As for the eating I followed both the AI-Protocol and the no FODMAPs thingy.

This is what I had throughout the day:

Smoothie with homemade coconut yoghurt, half a banana and cinnamon

Soup with homemade bonebroth, super mini meatballs, carrots and daikon radish

Banana, blueberries

"Stremellachs" some Kind of smoked salmon

homemade coconut yoghurt with banana, blueberries and cinnamon

porkbelly with cinnamon-cumin carrots

I didn't feel hungry or deprived (ok it was the first day...the excitement probably outweighed any uncomfortable Feelings).

Other than spending most of my time at work on Skype Chat...

Week 1 Day 2

I started out with the BBWW and was shocked how much worse I did than at the end of the last challenge! What a week of ...nothing can cause...

Here's what I ate (all part of the AI and no FODMAPs Plan):

Smoothie (same as yesterday)

Soup (same as yesterday but added bok choy)

canned tuna in olive oil

pork heart and zucchini

Oh, almost forgot I also managed to be in bed at 10pm both days.

Today I have to set up a stretching routine and maybe work on my ball skills.

Week 1 Day 3

Today I worked on figuring out what to do for my stretching routine. Long story short I really suck at that so kept it pretty simple.

Yoga sun salutation plus I added warrior I, II, and III 5x for each leg for now

Butterfly

Then I want to work on the splits but have no other idea than going in as far as I can and holding the pose

I ate:

Coconut yoghurt, banana, blueberries, cinnamon

Pork heart, zucchini squash

My usual smoothie

Bacon, smoked salmon, spinach, kombucha (not a very fancy meal but I didn't feel like cooking a whole lot)

I had some IBS trouble today, so I just had ginger tea for dinner.

Sun Salutations and Warriors are AWESOME for beginning stretches/yoga :) :) and your other workout routines are good, I struggle with planks (damn weak arms) but you are holding yours for a long time already!! When I started the BBWW, I could only do 10 sec, and now 30 makes me want to die! lololol
