CB3
Well, Hello to all you Fabulous warriors! I am new to this forum and am looking forward to getting to know some new peeps and, of course, saying hello to some old peeps! MAIN GOAL: Challenge myself; Get stronger, look better, feel better, increase stamina, and work to become an overall fit, dragon slaying, bad(girl)!!! And compete in the ToughMudder ALWAYs wanted to do it! Then there is a little of finding a position/job/business that more in line with my purpose and what I want to be doing. Either starting my own thing or just getting a new, more rewarding job. Goal 1: Gym time. I am working on getting in shape for myself and the ToughMudderm (maybe a competition, we will see if I can get my butt in gear). 4 weight workouts per week and then logged on NF on my battle log for accountability. (STR 2 STA 2)4 per week: A3 per week: B2 per week: C1 per week: D Goal 2: Since running is quickly becoming my down fall, I love to run but I injured my back a few years ago and pain has kept me from this passion, I have decided that I should add more cardio to my routine. This goal is one cardio session of at least 30 mintues per week. Whether it is hiking, running, Kinect, aerobics, dancing or anything else that gets my heart rate up.(STR 1 STA 1 DEX 2)1 + per week: A1 per week: Banything else is F Goal 3: Calories, calories......I have noticed that I amnot eating enough clean calories and I have a serious sweet tooth and its time to cut it down or pull it out. This goal is to basically increase clean calories to at least 2000 per day to cover my activity level and cut sweets from 90% of my diet. This time of year is hard and with Halloween coming....I'm in trouble. (CON 2) 90% overall: A80% : B70% : C60% : D Goal 4: Working on me and what I want to do. This is a roll over from the last challenge. I aim to journal every night to figure out what I want to do for a living and how I want to do it. Start making a plan and start to get the wheels turning on it. L'irlandaise
Yay!! I'm so excited we're in the Warriors together! Nice goals again, too, lovely woman. It's great that you're keeping on with journalling and listening to where you want to take yourself next - some serious life levelling. Good idea too to look to the cardio aspects and protect your back at the same time. I've been exploring some low impact interval options recently so can share my fledgling wisdom with you if you want. Here's to rocking yet another challenge! The Borg Queen
CB3, it is so cool that you are planning to do a toughmudder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is going to be so fun to do, and train for! I see you moved over to the Warriors. Congrats on picking a new guild Your goals this challenge look solid. I like the idea of cardio-flex time, that seems fun. Also, setting a (relatively) high daily clean calorie goal is a good idea. I know for me, it would lead to force feeding myself broccoli in order to get to the halloween snickers bar, but maybe you will be more responsible about it. CB3
Ok, I have been in a time warp for the last week. So here is a quick up date....Last week I got to the gym twice. Sadly I had a sick day in there and one other day where I did not take my lunch so no gym time for me. Goal 1 : C Goal 2: I played Kinect with my kids on Friday night, went hiking Saturday morning, and chopped wood so I think that counts!! Whoo hoo!! A Goal 3: So far the reduction in sugar is working, though I'd give it about 70% so far for last week. C Goal 4: I have journaled twice last week. Oddly things have gotten kind of busy here lately and all the days are beginning to blur together. F Time to step it up.... I hope you are having a great week 2 and I am excited to see where you end up this challenge. My biggest pit fall is autumn, when they come out with the candy corns and pumpkins, the Autumn mix, I think it is. Then about 2 pm, during the week, I get tired and a craving for sugar. I usually manage to 1 have a little (like a few candy corns) 2 have none and still crave it or 3 have something with sucralose in it so its still sweet without the calories. That recipe looks awesome!! I'll have to try it! There is something about my weekday job that makes me crave sugar. i can start the day wide awake and within 20 minutes of getting to work, I'm ready for a break or a nap. I can get down right narcoleptic by 3 pm. Not sure what that is about. Any ideas? CB3 Warrior Status Battle Log "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide.
