Well, Hello to all you Fabulous warriors!  I am new to this forum and am looking forward to getting to know some new peeps and, of course, saying hello to some old peeps!

MAIN GOAL: Challenge myself; Get stronger, look better, feel better, increase stamina, and work to become an overall fit, dragon slaying, bad(girl)!!! And compete in the ToughMudder ALWAYs wanted to do it! Then there is a little of finding a position/job/business that more in line with my purpose and what I want to be doing. Either starting my own thing or just getting a new, more rewarding job.

Goal 1: Gym time. I am working on getting in shape for myself and the ToughMudderm (maybe a competition, we will see if I can get my butt in gear).  4 weight workouts per week and then logged on NF on my battle log  for accountability. (STR 2 STA 2)

4 per week: A

3 per week: B

2 per week: C

1 per week: D

Goal 2: Since running is quickly becoming my down fall, I love to run but I injured my back a few years ago and pain has kept me from this passion, I have decided that I should add more cardio to my routine.  This goal is one cardio session of at least 30 mintues per week. Whether it is hiking, running, Kinect, aerobics, dancing or anything else that gets my heart rate up.(STR 1 STA 1 DEX 2)

1 + per week: A

1 per week: B

anything else is F

Goal 3: Calories, calories......I have noticed that I amnot eating enough clean calories and I have a serious sweet tooth and its time to cut it down or pull it out.  This goal is to basically increase clean calories to at least 2000 per day to cover my activity level and cut sweets from 90% of my diet. This time of year is hard and with Halloween coming....I'm in trouble.  (CON 2)

90% overall: A

80% : B

70% : C

60% : D

Goal 4: Working on me and what I want to do. This is a roll over from the last challenge. I aim to journal every night to figure out what I want to do for a living and how I want to do it. Start making a plan and start to get the wheels turning on it.  (WIS 3 CHA 2)

7 days + action: A

6 days + action: B

5 days : C

4 days : D

Yay!! I'm so excited we're in the Warriors together! Nice goals again, too, lovely woman. It's great that you're keeping on with journalling and listening to where you want to take yourself next - some serious life levelling.

Good idea too to look to the cardio aspects and protect your back at the same time. I've been exploring some low impact interval options recently so can share my fledgling wisdom with you if you want. :onthego:

Here's to rocking yet another challenge!

CB3, it is so cool that you are planning to do a toughmudder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is going to be so fun to do, and train for!

I see you moved over to the Warriors. Congrats on picking a new guild :)

Your goals this challenge look solid. I like the idea of cardio-flex time, that seems fun. Also, setting a (relatively) high daily clean calorie goal is a good idea. I know for me, it would lead to force feeding myself broccoli in order to get to the halloween snickers bar, but maybe you will be more responsible about it.

OK, today's workout:

Todays work out:

Squats : 44 lbs x 20, 88 x 15, 88 x 15, 100 x 10 PR! (I probably could have done a few more, I just didn't want to be too sore) 4520 lbs!

lying leg curls: 70 x 10, 80 x 8, 80 x 8 ( I went kind of light here, again trying not to over do it) 1980 lbs.

Deadlifts:  88 x 10, 88 x 10, 100 x 10 ALL 3 PR!! 2760!

Overall: 9260!! wow. almost 5 tons......

It is totally crazy when you look at it that way!'  :o   B)

Yeah, totally share what you are figuring out with interval options.... I'm excited for it all!

I'm not sure about the life leveling but I certainly don't want to stay stuck where I'm at. :D

I am working a bit more on my stamina for competing in anything but I want to compete so we will see where that takes me!!  Rah Rah!

I moved to another guild just because it seem to fit better with what I am working on, though the Rangers looked tempting as well. Maybe next time.

Snickers sounds awesome, especially frozen. OMG!! so good.  But that has been my down fall with trying to get leaner so I figured a goal would be very helpfull that way...Glad to hear I'm not the only one that has a weak spot for sweets!!

I feel your pain CB3 - battling my sweet tooth is probably the hardest challenge for me, because I'm not someone who can just have a little bit of ice cream/a tiny piece of chocolate and be done with it. And to make things worse, my office is one of those that always has a giant bowl of candy in the break room :(

And good luck on the finding a new job/starting a business goal! I actually started my current job, which I love, shortly after completing my first Nerd Fitness challenge, so maybe there's something in the metaphorical water around here that helps people meet even their non-fitness goals.

Ok, I have been in a time warp for the last week. So here is a quick up date....

Last week I got to the gym twice. Sadly I had a sick day in there and one other day where I did not take my lunch so no gym time for me. :(

Goal 1 : C

Goal 2: I played Kinect with my kids on Friday night, went hiking Saturday morning, and chopped wood so  I think that counts!! Whoo hoo!! A

Goal 3: So far the reduction in sugar is working, though I'd give it about 70% so far for last week. C

Goal 4: I have journaled twice last week. Oddly things have gotten kind of busy here lately and all the days are beginning to blur together.  F

Time to step it up....

FINALLY found your challenge thread :P

Looks like you're stepping it up in the challenges ! I'm quite fascinated by the idea of the tough mudder, and wanted to do it for a very long time, but running is my achilles heel. I almost feel like I could do the obstacle course OR the running ( more like puke, run, walk, puke, rinse and repeat), but not BOTH :P

Good luck with your goals ! you've aready made quite the progress on terms of weights !

*giggling* I'm of the same mind as starbon - and I'd have to stake out obstacle courses for months before. It will be fun watching you prepare tho!

IrishAmazon, thanks for popping in!

Offices can be difficult like that, I am lucky in that respect, unless I have a sugar craving and didn't bring my own. :) So what is your current job?

rbon - and I'd have to stake out obstacle courses for months before. It will be fun watching you prepare tho!

And yes, I think I have found that there is something in this virtual world that starts a chain reaction when it comes to goals around here, not just the fitness ones.  It kind of rocks, in a mega sort of way!

"Puke, Run, walk, puke, rinse and repeat"  Nice metaphor Starbon, glad to see you keep your sense of humor about you at ALL times!!

Well, we will see what kind of shape I am in for the ToughMudder next year. I still can't run more than a 1/4 mile without pain so we will see if/ how that progresses!

Thanks for the encouragement, Guy and Gals.  You know Ya'll rock!!

CB3! Terrific goals, especially the tough mudder. What are your biggest pitfalls when it comes to your sweet tooth? Aisle4B posted this recipe in her thread: http://www.modernhealthymom.com/2013/05/recipe-paleo-fudge-cups.html

Would healthier versions of sweets help you conquer the sugar dragon?

I hope you are having a great week 2 and I am excited to see where you end up this challenge. :)

Today's work out was legs. I did short myself one exercise but I kind of ran out of time....

Squats; I really thought I could do more then 10 reps but didn't for fear of lowering myself onto the toilette seat tomorrow, or hurting my back...mostly its the latter. (total weight moved 5060!!!) wow.

88 x 20 warm up

110 x 10

110 x 10

110 x 10 PR!

Deadlifts; again I thought I could have done more reps or more weight or something but didn't want to "push it" too much.

(Total weight 3700 lbs) not as impressive but I did super set them since my time limit was low.

100 x 15

110 x 10

110 x 10 PR!

Total weightage moved 8760!  and that is with no leg curls, so not bad!

Goal 1: Gym time 3 so far this week

Goal 2: none this week yet

Goal 3: Been eating 70% clean so far

Goal 4: Only journaled 3 times this week  but there are still 3 days left!

I hope you are having a great week 2 and I am excited to see where you end up this challenge. :)

My biggest pit fall is autumn, when they come out with the candy corns and pumpkins, the Autumn mix, I think it is. Then about 2 pm, during the week, I get tired and a craving for sugar. I usually manage to 1 have a little (like a few candy corns) 2 have none and still crave it or 3 have something with sucralose in it so its still sweet without the calories.

That recipe looks awesome!!  I'll have to try it!

There is something about my weekday job that makes me crave sugar. i can start the day wide awake and within 20 minutes of getting to work, I'm ready for a break or a nap. I can get down right narcoleptic by 3 pm. Not sure what that is about. Any ideas?

Actually, I do get up every hour and conquer 2 sets of stairs and a quick 2 minute walk to our warehouse. That is part of my job and when I get that tired I look for reasons to go over there, even if I have to make it up. :) Thank you for the suggestion though. I think I just need to sleep more at night or something.

Wassup! Just catching up on your thread! :) Desk work can be really draining sometimes. I find having a glass of water right by my keyboard helps me 1) drink more water and 2) get up more often to refill that water. And to go pee, of course. Haven't spilled that glass on the keyboard yet! Yet...

Lat Pulldown (4200 lbs)

60 x 20

100 x 10

100 x 10

18.5 x 12 R and 18.5 x 15 L

18.5 x 12

18.5 x 9

Its odd how was so much stronger my left arm was to start with and my right the second set was a struggle but I managed it.

One Arm Rows ( 1020 each side; 2040 total)

23 x 20

33 x 12

33 x 8 (I had to rush through this set other wise I think I would have pushed 10 to 12 reps, though in hindsight I probably could have pushed the extra few minutes.) :playful:
