So... I have a diet dealbreaker... that no matter what, I am gonna eat it, and it's CHEESECAKE! It's my favorite dessert! And guess what the drug rep brought today?? Yeah, cheesecake! So, yes, I am eating it, but one dessert on one day is not going to ruin my way of eating for the rest of the day, or the week or month or year! LOL What is your diet dealbreaker!?

Edited: ok, now my stomach hates me! LOL Oh well, now I know!

Hahaha I had cheesecake for breakfast one day last month because I was having a bad week. I just sat there at my desk and shoveled it in. As the Golden Girls taught us, cheesecake solves all problems. I'm not sure I have an actual "dealbreaker" but then again maybe I'm not strict enough to have potentially discovered it

I was checking out what you've been up to. I'm impressed by the level of detail you have gone into on your logging. I also like that you've set your rewards. I'll have to think about doing that.

You had mentioned push ups. Another options besides doing them on your knees is doing them against a bench or a low table. Then once you get to the point where you can do a good number of them go down to the floor.

thanks!:) Yeah, I have to be really detailed so I will actually stick to it!;)

I actually started using this pushup app for my iPhone and it started me off on counter pushups so I am starting there to get to 100 pushups a day! Wow! LOL However, in my body weight workouts I am doing them on my knees still since there really isn't a raised surface where I work out. :)

UGH!! My elbows have been hurting for weeks... I think I need to break down and see the doctor. (I work for my doctor, so that's good anyway). I have no insurance, so if he wants x-rays it's not going to happen. I am pretty sure I have tendinitis... and I really probably should take a break from pushups and burpees and rest my arms, but I just can't... I can't stop now... :/

I know it is horribly hard to stop when you feel like you have momentum. I'm going through that with my back right now. The truth is though you could easily make it a bigger long term problem through procrastinating.

I know that for me, this is one of the first times I've been a bit hurt where I've been more worried I'll push too much too soon, vs. worried that I'll take a break due to it and not be able to get back on track.  I'm proud of that and also proud that I'm honoring my body by taking care of it.  That is a powerful feeling too.  Try to go there if you can.

Health over vanity. There are ways to workout without putting stress on your elbows

 I second this ^.

You don't want to hurt worse. :(

Yeah, I understand what you guys are saying. I really am worried that if I take a break how I will not pick it back up. I am not going to let it get really bad. I will see my doctor before that point! I'm just trying to work through it and make sure it is not just muscle pain due to finally working out lol :)

Well I know I'm not saying take a break from working out, but to take a break from stressing your elbows. Find some exercises that don't stress the elbows but help strengthen them. Some easy stretches that won't aggravate your elbows would be nice but you would want to do them daily. I'm pretty sure you can find other exercises to substitute for the burpees.

I think you will do just fine!

I need to figure out what works the same muscles as pushups, so I can just switch to that.

Maybe I can switch to wall pushups...

"If you have bad shoulders, wrists or elbows, in time your joints can be restored with lower intensity variants like the wall push-up. The body can only be as strong as its weakest link, and connective tissue tends to be slower to adapt than muscle. A novice or an injured person should start with the wall push-up, working to 20 and eventually 50 consecutive reps in each set before moving on. To perform this variant, simply lean against a wall with your toes a few feet away and do the push-up movement from this semi-upright position.

Thanks!! I am still trying to win that dietbet. I won't join another one after this one, because I want to focus more on my measurements than my weight... but I started it and I really want to finish it! LOL I have 5 days left and then I weigh in.
