I'm new to Nerd Fitness, but not new to the battle for health. 

 

I've been slogging away in the trenches for quite some time with little result. While I'd love to blame my poorly functioning thyroid, I just can't bring myself to pin everything on such a tiny part of my body that I have little control over. (incidentally, I have a team of doctors helping me find the right levels, we're not there yet and that's completely beyond my control, but there are many factors I *can* control) SO, here I am, enlisting in the rebellion, hoping to learn some new things, find the best tools and employ them.

 

I'm really looking forward to making friends/allies along the way and am super stoked for that day when everything aligns properly (hormones, diet, exercise, stress management, etc.). Until that time, I'm digging deep, working hard and having as much fun as I can in the transformation from damsel in distress to Big Damn Hero...
