SevenofSeven
That really does kinda suck. Not sure what substance in the medication would be banned though? Or even considered to "help" a lifter, except not to stroke out during the comp. Quote Wait! What............? Link to comment

And I suppose it's not worth dropping the medication for a few months to being to able participate? You know... the whole health risks. I actually am doing that to see what it is without it. But the national team doesn't want the risks of a failed drug test. I can also get an exception Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Quote Warriors don't count reps and sets. They count tons. wildross
Been working away. The whole national meet thing was at first encouraging, then discouraging. I owe them some feedback on that, once my emotions are a bit more out of it (congrats, come join us! Oh, it will cost $2000 and a week of PTO. Oh, wait, those drugs are on the list of banned substances that we never linked to, nevermind!) Yesterday I was benching heavy and had a strange experience. I was on my 3rd set at 335# and as I lowered the first rep, something felt really off. Without thinking I set the bar on my chest and reset my grip, then pressed it from a dead stop. Freaked myself out, so I quit. Then realized what I had really done. I had supported 335# on my rib cage for a second or two. Not even a bruise. Not sure what to make of that....don't know if I'll try to repeat the experience either. 2 Quote Warriors don't count reps and sets. They count tons. Hermione Gainser
I missed the whole nationals thing. That sucks! But I suppose, a couple months out from it, you're hopefully a little less bummed. I have no idea what to make of your bench thing. That's nuts. I mean.... what? Sweet jesus.
