Nuala
****This is a semi-automated message from your Robot guild leader.**** Hello and welcome to the assassin guild! I am Nuala and I'm your guild leader. First of all, I want to thank you for having chosen our guild as your first official one, it makes me really happy and proud. I really hope you will enjoy being with us and that you will find here all the support you need. What you need to know.Whatever you do, remember that your challenge is your priority. Mini-challenges, guild activities, PVP are not mandatory. They are here for you to have fun, discover new exercises, have some friendly competitions but they must not hinder your progresses. If a mini-challenge seems too overwhelming for you, don't do it. I know this challenge will be difficult for many with Thanksgiving for the Americans Nerds and Christmas approaching. Just remember that failure only happens when you give up totally, not when you take a few days break. Being here with us will give you access to many other not mandatory activities, aka:- Creative mini-challenge. The creative mini-challenge will start on Monday, November 11 and will last the whole challenge (aka 6 weeks). As the name may suggest, you will be asked to do some creative media according to a theme.Ex:- Assassin alphabet- Assassin adsParticipation in creative mini-challenges usually grant you +1 CHA if you decide to use the stat system. - Mini-challenges: Every other Mondays, I will publish a new mini-challenge. These one lasts one week and will ask you to do some special exercises. There will be 5 mini-challenges, the story telling will be done by VengefulPear. Depending of the exercises, you will be able to earn one stat points for your participation. More infos in the mini-challenge thread. - PVP. PVP are competitions started by other members of the rebellion. If you enjoy measuring yourself to other, they may be the right thing for you. I can suggest you:- Juggling PVP: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/39383-november-11-december-22-juggling-pvp/- Handstand PVP: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/39126-november-5th-december-31st-handstands-pvp/- Poses in unusual places: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/16638-poses-in-unusual-places/- Crazy jump rope PVP http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/39112-nov-4th-unlimited-jump-rope-challenge/- Hooray: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/24603-pvs-the-honorable-order-of-rebellious-appraising-yeomen/ Of course, these are only example, feel free to check the PVP forum to find or even make your own PVP! Remember to check the rules though What I expect from you!Consistency, awesomeness and regular updates. One update at the end of the challenge won't do, I want to be able to see you are still here with us. One Update a week is a minimum. More would be even better Don't stay by yourself. If you want people to follow your thread and support you, you may have to do the same. You will probably find many people who share the same goals as you, go visit their thread, cheer on them and they will probably do the same. Make sure you subscribe to the announcement thread:http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/39116-guild-information-and-announcements-subscribe/And if you don't want to subscribe, make at least sure you read it once a week. I usually update it on Monday to present the new mini-challenge and Assassin most wanted list. Don't stay by yourself bis! The assassin's den is open to all, you have funny gifs to share, a story to tell, needs some advices or just want a place to chat? The Assassin's den is the place to go (also, we have corgis)!http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/39117-the-assassins-den-ask-an-assassin-general-chat/ What else?If you have any problems, questions or suggestions for the guild, feel free to send me a PM. Also, I'm still looking for journalists to work on the weekly most wanted list. The job is quite simple albeit a bit time consuming. PM me for more details. Sorry for the wall of text! brader24
Okay, so to start off my challenge, my weight is at about 197 lbs. I haven't lost anything in the last week or two and I'm so close to my goal weight. Even though I did not make it part of my challenge this time, I'm going to make a final push to get to that goal weight. For the next 2-3 weeks I need to be razor sharp on my food choices. I don't want to stretch this out any more. My swimming will be critical as well since it will help me to burn considerably more calories each week. If I can achieve my goal weight by the end of week #3, I will count this as extra credit +1 on my counts for one of my goals (my choice). 1 Level 2 Hawk AssassinStr: 2, Dex: 1, Sta: 2, Con: 2, Wis: 4, Cha: 1Challenges: Getting Going, 1, 2(Failed), 2.1(failed), 2.2(current)Accountability: The Dai-Gurren Brigade Current Challenge Goal Progress: Food Log(7/36), Exercise(5/24), Sleep Log(6/36), Meal Plan(1/21) Battle Log Fitocracy MyFitnessPal RunKeeper “Believe the incredible and you can do the impossible†- Archbishop Fulton J. Hopefully tonight will be better. Good luck with your goals! Blaze the Bounty Hunter "So don't be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows." Matthew 10:31 Link to comment

I really envy this "perfect swim". Swimming, like running, is something I'm just no good at. Thanks! Perfect is of course relative. Perfect in the sense of the parameters I set for it with breaks and breaths and such. I am far from a great swimmer. I pretty much stick to freestyle. I've never learned Butterfly. I'd love to learn someday, though I'm a bit self-conscious to actually try or take a class. Also, I'm not a runner either. I've tried it and never really cared for it. I don't think I'd ever be or want to be a distance anything (runner, swimmer, etc). I am building a base for my swimming to swim 1 mile non-stop. I don't plan to really ever swim much further than that unless I get a lot faster. I will start doing more intervals and maybe drills. Swimming a whole mile sounds daunting to someone who can't even do one lap in a regular pool It is a challenge like any other. I have a goal to master pull-ups also. That seems very daunting to me, but I have a plan to progress up to that. I think too many people focus on the end of where they want to be and get discouraged thinking about how much work and time it will take to get there. I try not to think to much about how difficult the end goal would be for me right now. I use it only for direction. Hopefully I will reach it some day, but if not, I've still brought myself closer and will be in better shape than I am now. 1 Level 2 Hawk AssassinStr: 2, Dex: 1, Sta: 2, Con: 2, Wis: 4, Cha: 1Challenges: Getting Going, 1, 2(Failed), 2.1(failed), 2.2(current)Accountability: The Dai-Gurren Brigade Current Challenge Goal Progress: Food Log(7/36), Exercise(5/24), Sleep Log(6/36), Meal Plan(1/21) Battle Log Fitocracy MyFitnessPal RunKeeper “Believe the incredible and you can do the impossible†- Archbishop Fulton J. brader24
Really proud of the progress you are making on this challenge brader. Very inspiring! Thanks Ash! I'm trying. I think my toughest to maintain is going to be the life goal. Studying 8 hours per week and not neglecting work, family, or personal responsibilities is going to be tough. I know I have time that I currently waste and this is very important for me to do so, I WILL DO IT! I just added another 30 minutes for a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes for this week.
