Caution
I decided to take last challenge off to regroup, get business taken care of and to get my head cleared. I was successful in some parts, and not successful in others. Work has begun to lighten up so I feel that I can now devote time and energy to getting back to the weights. During the last 7 weeks I kept up the shopping habit and Mrs. Caution decided to get serious about losing weight as well. The bad side of it is that I became mildly depressed and drank way more than I should have which gained me a few pounds and put me in a place (mentally) that I hadn't been to in awhile. This stops now. Main Quest Take control of my life again and get myself back in shape and lose some body fat. 1) De-load and do a few rounds of SL 5x5 2) Booze, no drinking. I need to re-evaluate my relationship with alcohol 3) Start tracking my macros, measurements and plot them so I can keep track of what I'm doing Life Quest 1) I've been so good on the budget I've set so far but I want to drop it down to 75 bucks a week for food while keeping the meals interesting enough that my better half will stay motivated. PrincessHeather
One, I want to comend you on acknowledging that you need to re-evaluate your alcohol habits. Two, great goals... It's not an NF goal, but I'm working pretty hard on sticking to the new budget in our new home... more bills and way different cost of living that we need to get used to. It's rough, but we can do it! Bookworm_Tess
Booze: the best thing about giving up drinking is that no matter how bad the previous night has been, no matter how depressed you got or how late you stayed up having fun with friends or games, the next day you're always well enough to go to the gym, lift things up and clear your head. Been off the booze 50+ days now. Love it. "Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself." - W. Faulkner Link to comment

Caution
Thanks all! Yesterday: I did a 20 minute run, laundry and made paleo cottage pie. Today;Oh today, how I had so many plans. Well, some stuff went down at work and I have no idea what is going to come of it. But it put me in the shittiest possible of moods. So I came home and couldn't get the motivation to lift. Decided to update some documents and make dinner. Tonight is Chicken garbage. soup: 1.5 lbs of diced chicken, carrots, leeks, cubed rutabaga, red chard, celery salt and chicken stock. Man did I want a beer today but I didn't. God I am so angry. edit: Dinner pic, because... food. My Current Challenge Link to comment

Strawberry Squatcake
Ugh. I'm sorry the anger has a hold of you. I can totally relate. This time least year, I felt ready to come totally unglued. I ended up surrendering. I used up all of my vacation time and became a total recluse. I can also relate to the alcohol thing. I had a rough go with personal stuff. Caused me to take a break from my drinking buddies. Decide to do six weeks sober. I haven't ever gone back to drinking as much. If I have a rare night now, it's rare. Very rare. But I do like to have an occasional beer or two. Anyway, I'm in no way guiding you on what to do. It's all personal. Just saying I relate! Good luck with the challenge! Good to see you back! A bunch of us are kinda starting over. We should have a little nerd powwow around the virtual bonfire. Edit: Starting over lifting-wise. Should just substitute the three kinds of veggies with three kinds of meat?? (I'd like that! huahuahua)I stole the idea from Rooks a few challenges ago, I changed the recipe up a bit though. Eggplant, zucchini, peppers, onions, carrots, spinach, mushrooms, a 4-5 diced tomatoes, ground turkey and some spices. I'll get the full recipe up when I make it. My Current Challenge Link to comment
